Super Eagles shot-stopper Francis Uzoho will be sidelined for six months after damaging his ligament during Nigeria’s friendly against Brazil’s Selecao on Sunday, October 13, at the Singapore National Stadium. Uzoho landed awkwardly in the 62nd minute after contesting for the ball with Brazil’s Casemiro inside the box and was stretched off as he could not continue the game. As long as he can still come back and do what he knows how to do best, we are so happy for him. Many players have suffered the same fate and they stayed out of the game for more than a year, and even when they got back they were never the same player they were. Santi C of Arsenal comes to mind.
