Nigeria is something else. This woman needs physical and mental medical attention asap. Distressing to see this. I just don't get the culture of taking pictures when you should be assisting or at least wishing well for others in a very difficult situation and helping to preserve their dignity.

Considering the frequency of these scenarios in Nigeria, I thought by now there'd be a specific agency handling such instances whenever they happen.

She’s mentally ill. Her people probably can’t deal with the condition and the shame so they dump her and probably hang around to see the result. So many families try to hide their mentally ill family members to avoid stigma on their family.

She’s also severely malnourished. Could be an unwillingness to eat due to her illness.
