I have 500MB as my data balance on my MTN sim and my data plan hasn't expired. For some reason, I cannot browse with it. What is going on?

Nope. Maybe I would have to forget about it but my concern is that such could repeat itself and this has never happened before. I just bought a new data bundle and it's working as expected but I can't seem to make use of that 500MB.

500mb is a weekly mb correct? Have you tried switching off mobile network? Change your network mode then restart your phone.
