Gov. Seyi Makinde want to build bus terminal in Iwo road. They'll have to demolish a mosque and a church and some other private buildings.

He went to the mosque for Jumat and dialogued with the worshipers, promising them proper relocation and compensation.

I'm sure he'll be worshiping at the church on Sunday doing the same.

This is a sharp contrast to what Ajimobi is know for. Inside this life, people will always reflect the upbringing in public conducts.

The people are more than happy to let go completely because he respected them.

I'm learning from this man.

The man is a continuous learner, and continuos learner hardly make grave mistakes. If he will end up having a fault, it will scarcely be a fault that other administrations have also had. A wise person will watch other people fall, take note of the spot and avoid the fall. Till now, Governor Makinde is showing wisdom.

My family built that mosque and recently (few days ago) we received a notice from the government stating that they are going to demolish some part of the mosque unless they see Permits. We had the permits ready for them, they never told us it was about expanding Iwo Road until the governor came to worship and informed us as much and that there will be compensation for the relocation of the mosque.
We don't have a problem with it for eminent domain sake.

I LOVE GOVERNOR OF OYO STATE MAKINDE. He is an intelligent and kind man. I wish all other governors should emulate from him. You can't just be in your office and send a notice of demolition, meet them and tell them your plans, they will understand, be you a Christian or a Moslem we, are all human beings. OYO STATE NOW HAS A GOVERNOR

A mosque was demolished in ABU to build a new department, the school gave them another land and before I returned from break, another was built. Demolition is not bad if it's done fairly
