Truth is the beginning of every race is very very very tough (you'll begin to wonder if this life na war) but truth is one cure is to have a *goal(target)* for your race and PUSH yourself plus dont run too fast in your first kilometre,u go bass out so Conserve ur energy...I learnt certain lessons from the world's best marathoner

I remember when 10km was a lil thing for me until I tried after many months and 6km was like helll.....so I learnt again *the more consistent you are, the easier it becomes*

I don tell una, make una no dey suffer unaself dey run up and down.

For SSC particularly, once you touch down NDA for screening, it becomes a taboo to form Westlife formation (walking). You will double from point A to point B. You will so double, run and jog that even in your dream sef you go dey run.

Dont malinger or jonez. Jog with others and allow yourself to feel it. You will do so for at least 7days (during which screening for documents, exam test, medicals and psychology will be done) after which it will be time for the race, if the God of your realization sees you through. Then those days of jogging will come in very handy.

Just use now to eat more of fruits and vegetables, drink lots of water and flush your system.

I wish you guys what i would have wished myself wink

Very true for ssc guys,
Every morning, buy the idea of jogging from candidates hostel to kitchen, kitchen to drill center.
anytime you're on the move, double up. It has helped many, and it will continue to help. It can never go wrong....

You can't do 10-15 push up without stress? Before you leave NDA you'll do 20 conveniently, well if you're serious and ready.

So guys just take care of your health now.

In addition, you can sneak out of the gate facing the mosque at night. The road in between the gate and the mosque is the route used. With your stopwatch at hand, run facing west.(clock wise). After running about 400m you will probably be at the golf course, maintain the tarred road and take a bend to your right.
Here the the route is hilly so you have to run as fast as possible for about a kilometre.
When you reach the top of the hill, you will meet a T junction, take another bend to your right and keep moving. After running for about a kilometre you will see another bend to your right which will leed you the quarter guard of NDA(main entrance). Run pass the quarter guard, you will come across another bend to your right. Take it and keep moving while watching your right side to see the gate that you started from.
Stop your watch and check how long it took you to cover up.
All the best.

Do you know that the First indigenous intelligence officer of the Nigerian Army was Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu from Okpanam in the former Mid-west region now Delta state. In 1962 he was appointed as the head of NAIC taking over from Capt. Harrington.

Boss man, tell us sth better and more recent.

How much does a 2lt in NA takes home as salary per month (#120,000/#165,000)?

Does NA give out car loans or free cars to newly commissioned officers?

What's the nature of the living conditions for newly commissioned officers in the barracks?

1) 2Lt basic pay is 160k; Lt 180k. Aside operational allowances.
2) Free cars? Who dash monkey banana?
They do have access to car loans sha, but many prefer to go the tokunbo route unless your papa get money before you join army work. If you go collect loan go buy Benz grin toor you fit reach Major you never pay finish.
3) Depends on where you are posted to. Places like Abuja have accommodation issues, but as newly commissioned officers una go dey share apartment amongst una sef, army no send una oo, the situation wan resemble hussling for hostels every academic session back in University days, unless you wan rent house outside barracks but at your own expense.
For me only the air force and navy have excellent accommodation facilities for their officers, na small thing army wan take better pass police.

Brother, when you raise your shield, so will I..
Sister, when you charge at the enemy, so will I..
And if death awaits us, calling his warriors home,
Let me go smiling by your side..
For we are Family!

No except you're on duty, I'm not too sure for army sha, I'm using Airforce's standard.

Military weekend differs from civil weekend though. A soldier cannot travel on weekends unless he has pass. That doesn't mean that guys don't travel without pass, But if anything happens, while you are away during weekend without pass, you are on your own.

I just saw this picture, it is during the training for 74rri or so.
What is the use or implications for this kind of training?

Re: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by Nobody: 7:03am On Oct 20, 2019
An Air Force personnel told me a story about his experience in Presidential Air Fleet (PAF). He said he was enjoying his wife on a Saturday night, and a call came in. When he answered the call, it was his boss telling him to get to the flight line to prepare an aircraft for a journey. Just reason it by yourself, what if he was away that weekend? Then reason the scenario for a battalion that received an emergency call to react to an attack during weekend and a fire alarm was activated for soldiers to muster. Lo and behold battalion strength is below expectation simply because some soldiers left barracks on weekend without pass.

To simply put it, everyday is military job. You may not go to office on weekends especially when you are not on duty BUT you can be called upon any time, any day. That's why you need permission before you travel. They want to make sure there is enough staff strength to do the job if you a away before they will consider to grant you permission.
