What's with the judges taking sides? You've done your job, the panel declared Achuba wasn't culpable in the allegations levelled against him but the HOS decided to remove him nonetheless. Its no longer your business. If Achuba felt cheated let him approach the court, the issue of not wanting to swear in a new deputy is Now becoming a political grandstanding to me!! Meanwhile... Let even concede that he was indeed found wanting by the panel. The next layer of the process is for the nominated deputy governor to appear for screening before the same house of assembly, after which the chief judge of the state or his equivalents can perform the final rite. All things being equal, the nominee Chief Edward David Onoja will appear for screening today. Thereafter, he will be sworn-in. The writer is only doing a hatchet job to scare the judges from coming forward to conduct the oath taking. This concoction has been trending on all social media since Mr Simon Achuba was removed. |

Great!!! His former deputy( Hon. Simon Achuba) is still been owed arrears to the tune of N1 billion before he was impeached by the house and placed on house arrest. What a state!!! |

Legally speaking ,the deputy governor designate should be sworn in immediately.I dont see any reasons why he shouldn't be sworn in.The constitution empowers the House of Assembly to impeach the governor or deputy. The constitution does not state there must be a particular reason for impeachment. The panel report does not stop the House of Assembly from carrying out its constitutional duty.Even if the deputy governor did nothing wrong ,it doesn't remove the constitutional backing that the House of Assembly has to impeach him.Legally speaking ,the House of Assembly has done nothing wrong and there should be no problem swearing in the deputy governor designate. I dislike Yahaya Bello but we have to be clear about the rule of law. |

Righteousness89:I have never wished anyone (not even my worst enemy) death in my entire life until Yahaya Bello. Doom awaits him. - What that m.oron is doing to Kogites is unbelievable. When you criticize him they say it's because someone you know was screened out as ghost worker by him but No. My dad was screened in but yet he no dey see him money collect on time and in full. - And for this Edward son of the soil conniving with him to punish his fellow Igalas and doing things against the soil, same soil will fight against him. He has quickly forgotten that the Igala people are one very spiritual people. |

israelmao:He is young and dumb. What is more annoying is APC watching and not even making a move to at least save the image of their party by dealing with the m.oron despite the widespread criticisms against him. Very anyhow government. Maybe they want to do that by exchanging Bayelsa for Kogi in November. He is currently in court for disqualification for double registration. Instead of APC to do one thing right for the masses to cheer and applaud by making the law disqualify him and save the image of the party small, they won't. Because they won't have a candidate? They had options and were condemning him before the party's primary but when he loaded them with money, they allowed him emerge for the party and are now behind him. |
