Never used stone dust, but why? is it cheaper than sharp sand?

Actually stone dust are cheaper to sharp sand in area closer to quarry than originally sharp sand source...place like ijebu ode

Why? Note because its cheaper but because its yield higher compressive strength compared to just sharp sand.

Such blocks are better load bearing
