For such a kid as in the picture, I wonder what future awaits him. It will take a miracle for him to win a Nobel price for instance.

This is just the tip of an iceberg. With the amount of flood still finding its way to Atlantic Ocean from the upper part of the country, Lagos, Ogun, Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa States should brace up for heavy flooding. cry cry

It’s not about development or not. Lagos is a coastal city. And with the unexpected heavy rainfall this year, there’s no escaping this.

Lobatan. E don finish.

This is what you get when you treat symptoms instead of the disease.

The only solution to Lagos problem is for government to scrap residential land use on Lagos. Let people live in Ogun state and Ibadan and come to Lagos daily for work.

But they won't do it. Why? It requires heavy investment in rail and road transportation. And our politicians don't have time for that yet, they're still embezzling.

Instead they're doing gentrification. And the problem of gentrification is that na the poor people go suffer am. All those lands that they're filling and selling for millions of dollars, do think it won't have implications.

Of course it will have implications. It's a simple law of Geography, once there's erosion somewhere there'll be deposition somewhere else. Matter can neither be lost nor gained.

Lagos is only sweet if you're rich. Lagosians know this but "e go beta, e go beta" is the opium of Lagos peasants.

Pen wise pan foolish.. this is exactly what you get when you dare nature. What do you expect? When you reduce the the area of water flow or lodge in the name of sand filling. Water has been pushed to the wall, the only thing it can do now is to bounce back. Eko Atlantic is a big Scam! However the poor will always suffer it.

This is highly dangerous as snakes, crocodiles and alligators can attack people. The same will happen next year. When will we ever learn to vote out bad leaders? Stiff penalties must be put in place for corrupt politicians. They should either be jailed or sent to life imprisonment. Unfortunately anyway, they are the ones who make the laws. Nigeria tire person sef.
