Sure they do but shouldn't that be expenses from the show which the organizers also paid hugely for? Video shot and audio, that can be avoided in a standard label.
A good label should have as many studios as possible and they should have a producer that works with them on video shoots. A good labe should actually have their own video producer with their own equipments.
The only risk I see here is the promotion which I'm sure will be limited if you're actually a real talent.

I hope that boy have enough clout to fight those guy otherwise he will be paying them for every show and music sale

In Nigeria today, there are less than 20 artists I can pay more than 500,000 for show.
But they are tens of thousands of upcoming artiste,if u do the mathematics u will realize that most investment on upcoming artiste is (will be )a waste .

First,your song gots blow before organisers step into the picture.Who pays to get your songs on the radio?? Who pays top DJs to spin your records?? Who pays for Video shoots, Studio sessions,promotions etc. You need clout to sell records or make hits this days and someone is being paid to push whatever trash you produce on the internet for your records to get attention

Remember that all this money are spent on an unknown artist.So they take that big risk. Only downside that goes is if the artist starting hitting that stride,they are positioned in such a way to make a fortune put of the artist. Its really a 50-50 business that can go anyway

I ready remember many years back too when I exchange 3months bonus at work with just a token.
But it was a pity cos I heard the guy was collecting 30k per month from G-worldwide.

You're right but I still believe that it's unfair to feel you can recoup all the money you've spent on your label from an artist that is blowing. Even 8f you will do that, you should at least offer the popular artist some add ons since he's the popular one. You cant pay kizz daniel 30k and pay the likes of sugerboi 30k too even when it's obvious that the label is surviving from kizz Daniel's input.

Kiss should get a good lawyer..... You can't sign someone into slavery no matter what... With a good lawyer I will encourage him to go all the way to the Supreme Court... Its high time the court interpret what constitute a legal musical recording label contract.

Per month, rumour has it that that was what GWW was paying kizz Daniel when he was under their label. Aside clothing allowance and housing.

In other words that contract must have been duelly sealed and is therefore enforceable. Morally we know that what they are paying him is poor but he is bound by what he signed. The best he can do is to use the service of a lawyer in the class of Agbakoba like Olu Falae or Ozekhome likes and go into arbitration. That’s all. being of contractual age does not matters when a contract is inhumane, that said I or you shouldn't jump the gun because I don't know about you but I have not seen the copy of the contract, that said all is an investment and if there is something there that unnecessary tie him down or he is not happy about the contract should have an exit clause, anyway whatever it is if he feels he is justified he should go all the way with the litigation but if not he should settle.
My own honest opinion is that, it's very difficult to invest in human skills, asking for 500m naira is pretty crazy, but the record company also invested expecting a return on investment so the two should battle it out in court to Supreme Court level for interpretation.

The owner of GWW na igbo na , his hate for Yoruba pushed him to do this to kiss Daniel. He felt that Yoruba boy don backstab him again. Igbos producers love to hire Yoruba artists to gather money for them and pocket but when things go south they know they r have to damage the Yoruba artists. Aka dbanj boss label

Sunny Ade faced the same challenge in 1974/75 in the hands of Chief Bolarinwa Abioro's African Songs Limited after he went solo to wax "E Kilo Fomo Ode"; and he overcame. May Kizz Daniel find a way out of this, Amen.
