Primary school where Head Teacher's office is under a tree, pupils learn under thatched hut.

Lydia Yegraowo Okache and Godwin Onah of Hope for the Young Initiative posted photos of some primary schools they visited to pay schools fees of pupils and distribute exercise books.

One of them include Community Primary School at Akpanda Itega-Egbudu, Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State, where the Head teacher's office is under a tree and pupils are taught under a thatched hut

It's not bad, even the colonialists that brought education to us were not privileged to even stay under a tree during their time, so let's accept every little efforts our ever willing and performing governments are doing to at least make us understand that we are suppose to serve them and not the other way round...

Note: caveat emptor.

Education is a must, and we should strive to make it better for all our little boys and girls...

We should stop blaming the government for everything...

Imagine if Nigerians donated The money for BBN votes to the educational sector?

Instead na ‘Tasha’ and Mercy whose lives in no way addresses our issues we Dey give money to...

If the effort being put into RUGA and the welfare of cows in this country is channelled into Education, in a few months things will be a lot better. Miyeti Allah, State Governors, Buhari and FG should be ashamed of themselves.

On a more serious note...the truth is, the amount of money we spend on education is not up to the recomended 26% of budget....both at state and federal level...so what do we expect?

Some people would be comparing us to Canada...whose education budget for primary schools is over 50billion dollars.

Another funny thing....since this is in the South...silence.

Now imagine if this was in Hausaland (where they exist)...there would be ten pages of bigot tales of how backward the North is..

Well, the SOuth too is rather backward. More education, and we cannot make our schools better.

Well, we can always blame Aliyu in Kano state... grin(funny enough, Aliyu is blaming Emeka in Imo and Olu in Ogun state...)
