Primary school where Head Teacher's office is under a tree, pupils learn under thatched hut. Lydia Yegraowo Okache and Godwin Onah of Hope for the Young Initiative posted photos of some primary schools they visited to pay schools fees of pupils and distribute exercise books. It's not bad, even the colonialists that brought education to us were not privileged to even stay under a tree during their time, so let's accept every little efforts our ever willing and performing governments are doing to at least make us understand that we are suppose to serve them and not the other way round... Community primary school with just 4 or 5 students? Ashi Chara ọkụ. Some of these garbages are Private schools that are after money making. Education is a must, and we should strive to make it better for all our little boys and girls... We should stop blaming the government for everything... On a more serious note...the truth is, the amount of money we spend on education is not up to the recomended 26% of budget....both at state and federal level...so what do we expect? Some people would be comparing us to Canada...whose education budget for primary schools is over 50billion dollars. 1 Like |
