people like u will still complain if the scoreline is 6:0 in favour of Nigeria.
My brother, even if they had lost this match and their play was tight I’d have praised them.
Check my posts, I’m not a buttlicker, I say it the way it is.
I followed the 2013 set right from their tournament in Ghana where they lost the final match to Ivory Coast (I think), I still praised them because those guys had a pattern and the whole world saw it in Qatar (if I’m not mistaken).
Tell yourself the truth, did you enjoy their play?

That was then! The least age of the players that played the u17 then would be 25 years old (and I hope you know what that means)....these ones are almost using their real ages the oldest there should be 19, majority of them there are 17 so what are you saying

I tell you. they just manage to lead 3:2 in an unconvincing fashion. they're good players but lack mentoring and harnessing, and the blame goes to the coach. these are rudiments he is suppose to teach them.

For instance, there are two concrete instance they could've gotten penalty if they had gone down, but botched the chance.

Guy!! This is just an age grade game played by 17years old kids, I would be suspicious if they put up all this technicality you're expecting of them, just enjoy the game bro they are just kids still developing with a bit of youthful exuberance as there game portrays.. Personally, I think they are exciting to watch

With what Nigeria has produced at this level, this team is way below average.
Unless they turn their tactics around, I’m not impressed.

I wonder what you guys are expecting, you want them to play like Real Madrid? They are just under 17 for crying out loud, the fact that they even made it to the tournament is a big achievement, they will grow.

I tell you !

It's very annoying to see players with strength and skill but lack sense.

I can a player be raked inside the eighteen yard box and still struggling to get the ball, when he should have gone down for penalty

Give this Ecuador team to the 2013 set and we will be screaming the sixth “goal!” For Nigeria.

The same 2013 team played 3:3 with Sweden in their last group game.

They actually had to wait till 80+ minutes before they equalised in that game.

Also, Iran was the team they scored their highest goal against, and they actually defeated them by 5:0 which means they never defeated any team with a 6 goals margin. I wonder where they will get that 6th goal against Ecuador tongue

This ones have won both matches they've played so far, let's hope they get better with time.

We only need 1 Goal to win a match.

Let's enjoy the game grin

those guys cant be more than 20 tops.

manu garba doesnt use over age players in this competition. he uses mostly academy players and school boys unlike in the past where they get players already playing for club in nigeria.
that's why all the players he used in the past are still active today.

not like what we had in the past that a 17 years old will be celebrating his wife and birth of his second child. and after the competition you wont hear about them again.

Nah! I don't buy that. I've a 13 yrs old cousin in a football academy that know and practice these simple things, how much more a national team with hired experts and everything at their disposal.
there's nothing complex in minimizing dribbling and passing when due, or going down in the 18yard box when there's a good contact to warrant penalty.
