Human rights activist and social media influencer Segalinks with real names as Segun Awosanya has reacted to the report that Abdulmumin Jibrin demanding N3bn compensation for ‘defamation’

He tweets;

"In the exaggerated valuation of self, the personal ego (hubris) of people drowning in impunity is sawing off the branch on which he is sitting, and then getting more anxious about the impending crash! You need to first have a positive reputation before suing for defamation.
Your lawyers have been served. You see, I don't need to send emissaries to bully anyone when I can serve you directly myself. Public officers must be accountable to the people and not attempt to intimidate ordinary citizens asking critical questions."

Do they really pay all these damages even if they win the case?
Jibrin through his lawyers have asked Segalink to publicly apologise for the statement and pay a sum of N3,000,000,000 as damages, else they would be heading to court.

Where will SEGALINK get that kind of money ?

This same Wole Olanipekun that suspended Atiku and the entire Pdp in the air.

I would say it is suicide spirit that is worrying this Segalink's lawyer.

We should ask them critical question, especially why they defend corruption when it concerns their party and still come here to rant about PDP 16 years. If you know Segalink well, he'll slide into Jibrin"s dm to tell him how much he admires him and kiss his butt while explaining that he meant no harm.

He's done it to a few public figures and was exposed.

It is called justification.

If someone calls Tafa Balogun a thief, there's absolutely nothing Boda Tafa can do cos he's a known thief that was dragged in cuffs and disgraced by police officers that were not yet born when he joined police.

Anybody who has no reputation cannot claim to have been defamed. That is exactly what Segalink will be using as defence if Jibrin eventually goes to court. jibrin has been viewed by memebers of the public at one time to be corrupt and even got suspended for that same allegation. Where did he suddenly get the good reputation he's claiming now? Being honorable doesn't mean you have reputation. Segalink can't spoil what Jibrin already spoiled a long while ago.
