The term flagship in relation to mobile technology or the smartphone industry, has to do with attributions of a particular device having the most recent and advanced technological components currently available or yet to be seen in a smartphone.

Take for instance the redmi note 8 pro xiaomi wouldn't be fraudulent enough to term that device a flagship of any kind. But tecno and its marketers being deprived of an form of knowledge as concerning the words and the severity of the statement they make when advertising their outdated compositions that is absent of smart in any way. They can recklessly apply any sentence to deceive potential buyers for profit purposes, as a result, anything goes.

The mtk p35 cannot even power a midrange device, let a lone a flagship of any kind. Yet the misleading title of this thread is Tecno Phantom 9: A Budget Flagship

If the tecno phantom 9 is a flagship of any kind, then that phrase flagship should be renamed to overpriced storage device with poor display and outdated 32bit android system because that is what the phantom 9 from tecno is. If you think I am lying, check the whole of nairaland, you won't find 3 users of that wayward crap called phantom 9, yet it's 77k. But you will find over a 100 users of the xiaomi redmi k20 pro here on nairaland, and it's twice the price of the useless phantom 9.
