To know that this country is doomed, go to Kogi state and see how people still troop out to support an individual who hasn't paid salaries for over 16 months.

I marvelled at the behavior of the youngest governor and his blindfolded followers and to see people still supporting his ambition in a country where governors only embezzle in their second term. If his first term could be this miserable, I wonder what his second term would be. I would be surprised if he doesn't win. I've argued with friends and colleagues about him winning the election they keep telling me Kogi is different. I think it's high time this country ceased to exist as virtually all sectors aren't working

I ve told people.. The best way to live in Nigeria now is to ignore the govt completely. Every organization should form an govt of there own.. Contribute money and get whatever they want. When its time for election or any govt activity, just sit in your house. When they realize we no longer care who asends the throne, they will respect themselves.

So why do Nigerians pay tax anyway?

Nigerians contribute money to fix roads.

Nigerians buy generators to power their homes.

Nigerians dig wells or sink boreholes to get water.

Nigerians pay security levy for their neighbourhood watchman.

Nigerians are their own local government.

So, why do they pay tax?

250k to rent shovels or what.

They shouldn't waste their money, they should use it to buy rice instead.

Did you read the article at all? They didn't give the government the money but they used the money to fill the roads with gravel and sand themselves. At least, their efforts are commendable
