A difficult call. Maybe the leg of that guy beside Mane.
still not straight line
Look at the shaded space from mane and compare with sallah

All these lines u people are drawing won't tell the full story, if it's not VAR e no fit be VAR.

Just look at that Lecesiter vs Tottenham match. Nobody would've ever thought there was an offside in that build up to Tottenham's goal.

I mean clearly VAR claimed the Tottenham player was offside because the part where his armpit joins with his chest is ahead of Johnny Evans' knee by the smallest SI unit of measuring distance.

That is exactly what VAR does. E get him own taperule.

The officiating could've just spared 30 seconds to have a look na

Why was Liverpool first goal not disallowed since it the hand ball that started the counter attack?
At first Silva hand redirected the ball, should’ve been a free kick at that instance. From Hand ball to handball, Ref just made the game play along. A mistake by ref, but it was a long yard out before pool scored.

Atalanta vs City ref gave a penalty. VAR reviewed it and he changed it to a freekick. Ref is using VAR to be accurate.

In EPL ref makes a decision. Then his fellow frauds use VAR to justify him. That is how it is used in the EPL. To make the ref correct and only overturn when it is CLEAR and OBVIOUS.

Such baloney.

Lol.

Like Laporte's handball long before Gab Jesus dribbled 2 players before scoring that was still overturned?

Why were Liverpool asking the ref to over turn Rashford's goal against United if the so-called foul to Origi was long before the goal was scored?

There was a shout for penalty, var should have checked and do the right thing.

Now you agree the referee had a bad game today

You still don't get it. That line is not parallel. Use the lines on the grass to compare. It looks like Salah and Stones are on the same line which is why people were saying the review should have been longer with those lines drawn.

Use the blade of grass to compare if your line is parallel.

I am not arguing about the goal. I just thought they will review it for a while before coming to a conclusion.
True, the line looks not straight but it’s. object closer appears bigger than far object. Just look at the length of the grass downward, the length is shorter as we move up.

Camera angle from sides can’t tell the true picture.

Same thing happened in Liverpool Chelsea game when Azpi goal was cancelled because Mount was millimeter offside. Goal cancelled, freek kick award, Liverpool counter, goal. All in d space of 2mins.

VAR isn't consistent and that will make more people to buy into the idea that there's an agenda for Liverpool to win the league

One from opponent post, one within 18 yards out
I didn’t watch the Rashford game.

Which is why we expected VAR to use that their own line to review it for a while. That is all that was expected.

The City vs Spurs goal that was disallowed by VAR was in the EPL when there was an acidental handball when Laporte was pulled

In the same EPL today 2 handballs and a likely offside were ignored

Salah goal was not offside.

I believe the 2nd handball was a penalty but it is what it is. The ref sometimes interpret the rules with their discretion.

Were Liverpool lucky to get away with some decisions today, YES. Pep n City will also have their own share of lucky decisions and they even out during the course of the season.

I’m just saying stop using cases from UCL or UEL to judge cases from the EPL. They don’t usually follow the same rules.

It was from Centre of the pitch in the United game.

The point is, VAR can go back as far as they want to stop any sequence. Na their rule be that.

VAR is useless in the EPL.

VAR rule in the EPL is different from the one UEFA uses that’s why in EPL VAR can give a goal for offside and the ref will overrule it. According to those useless FA, the ref has the final decision.

Aguero stood there protesting for a handball, he even had the ball roll to him and he just left it throwing his hands and expecting a penalty.

Ref or no ref, handball or no handball, he was partly culpable for Liverpools first goal.

You are right.

I just wished they reviewed it for a while to clear doubts. Nobody would be arguing now.

They did not use VAR. That was just EPL camera. VAR would have indicated that a check was being done and everyone would have stood still waiting.

But yes, an aerial view would have been better and then zoomed out like they always do.

His outing today was shocking to say the least... we all wanted Liverpool to win but not through dubious means.

If the game is stopped for a penalty check everytime there is a shout for penalty then most of us would start losing interest in football..

In such situations, the ref allows play to go on and if VAR says it's a penalty decision then he brings play back..
That's why linesmen don't raise their flag unless their absolutely sure the player is off. They Allow play to continue and wait to see if VAR deems the player offside
