Good day everyone, I urgently need your help to find answers to questions bothering me now.
I have been a part_time Regular Lecturer with a Federal Polytechnic for the past 8 years.
Recently they advertised and invited candidates to fill vacant lecturing positions in the school. The registrar requested my HOD to forward names of part_time lecturers in the dept and he did forwarded my name. Two days later, the registrar requested my phone number from my HOD and was expecting a call but received an invitation to an interview. While I was preparing for Tuesdays 12th to attend the interview, I received a retracted message that the earlier invitation extended to me was in error that he is sorry for the inconvenience.
Please, What really has happend? Am worried.

It is not a new thing, those with 'long leg' have taken your position. Keep praying to God, your time will come.

Bro, go there on the said date. Sometimes, it is manipulation. I speak from experience.

First i agree with one of the previous comments, go there on the said date, and if ur name wasn't shortlisted, take it as ur faith, better job awaits you.

Hope you haven't deleted the invitation SMS.
Proceed to your interview with it.

I went to meet my HOD this morning and told him about the retraction message from the registrar. He told me that part-time lecturers who have put in appreciable number of years in the Polytechnic are normally issued lateral conversion notice. That he was surprised I was invited to attend interview with others. Though he could not be 100% certain whether the lateral conversion was the reason I was delisted from the interview, he advised me to see the registrar on Tuesday.
My people, I will take the advise of others and present at the interview tomorrow.

Bro I went for the interview and was told that am NOT supposed to take part in the exercise at this stage that "are you not our part-time lecturer?" I answered yes, the said I should go that I will hear from them through my department
