Looks like the initial prototype of Insas bullpup configuration. Decades back the Insas was offered in the bullpup configuration instead of the convention configuration but as usual army in its short sightedness opted for the normal configuration 1 Like

nemesis8u: I remember but INSAS bullpup was a horrible layout back then, the new one looks ergonomically better designed and almost fit for serious further testing and development. Do you know which agency or company is involved with this? |

TayserMahri: Just saying All Scientists r genius by right, on their subject(s) , we r not ( those posting anonymous ) What control signal during descent / landing ? The lander was not being controlled during pre landing / descent and landing phase , it was under autonomous control ( it was controlling itself as per predefined built in control laws through onboard active reaction systems ) The landing failed due to overperformance of one of the landing thrusters So ur wrong in ur assertion regarding external control signals. Time gap is extremely large for implementing external control on systems ( eg moon lander ) which depends on instantaneous response through built in sensors and correction of parameters ( eg accumulated errors ) on real time basis. Losing signal in a valley is a different thing It depends on or a combination of LOS of reciever to transmitter Weather variations effecting signal propagation Variation of output at transmitter end due to local effects. Fluke Interference by other signals either in the propagation channel or at the reciever end Etc Etc 1 Like |

Incase anybody is wondering The yellow coloured appendage at the rear of the HTT40 is the spin chute It contains a parachute which is deployed to bring down the aircraft safely during spin tests, if the aircraft fails to recover from the induced spin, when the test pilots induces the plane to enter spin knowingly. This is done to certify that the said aircraft is capable of recovering from pilot induced spin during pilot training. Only test aircrafts have spin chute. 3 Likes 1 Share

TayserMahri: Firstly i don't work in ISRO so no point asking me to talk to anybody. And if you meant ISRO i don't think you have the qualification or expertise to advise them on anything . I believe in ISRO that's my prerogative and if anybody chooses to disbelief that's their prerogative , either way it does not or will not make any difference to ISRO If you are in doubt file a RTI to ISRO or rather get an ind.... citizen to file it ( since only citizens can file an RTI ) ISRO is a civilian organization and comes under the purview of RTI ( right to information ). I don't think the Soviets or the Chinese citizens had or have such freedom. As for craters ISRO can make as many they want , who is goona stop them ? Also on moon craters you seem to be oblivious to the fact that new craters are created on a regular basis on the moon due to impacts by extraterrestrial objects. On a average 180 craters are created on the moon every year Now kindly go and try to stop them ![]() 2 Likes 1 Share |

Xbee007: Iranians most probably have it by now Courtesy the Hezbollah The Chinese might need permission to examine the same and inreturn share the results of reverse engineering with the Iranians Possible Russians might get interested too But reverse engineering is not so easy breaking mil grade algos is darn difficult bordering impossible . Hardware might get replicated but that too is not an easy task. Seeker is a mil grade critical system which normally includes anti tamper and anti reverse engineering safeguards built in. But as i always say who knows . The other parties might get luck or maybe not. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

nemesis8u: Makes a huge difference to ISRO if they gain public trust and confidence by providing regular, prompt updates about missions. In future, space will be a commercial endeavor where trust will be key. Public and private agencies like ISRO will be seeking to transport payloads from other agencies, govts and civilians for profit. An underfunded ISRO will need that money real bad ![]()
file it for me ![]() As for craters ISRO can make as many they want , who is goona stop them ? Am aware of the moon's violent past and present. I should have specified craters from robotic kamikazes like Vikram ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The decision has now been taken to go in for AMCA mk1 with the available 98 KN thrust GE 414 INS6 engine. And then follow it up with AMCA mk2 with a more powerful locally developed 110 KN engine. The AMCA mk2 will be ordered in larger quantities when if fructifies. 2 Likes

The pathfinder! Not necessarily specops, these are the guys who do recon on the LZs. Para drops are a high risk exercise and the ground needs thorough prior recon for rocks, trees etc,etc and marking by trained personnel within the parent unit. I don't like wiki but: In military organizations, a pathfinder is a specialized soldier inserted or dropped into place in order to set up and operate drop zones, pickup zones, and helicopter landing sites for airborne operation, air resupply operations, or other air operations in support of the ground unit commander. Pathfinders first appeared in World War II, where they served with distinction, and continue to serve an important role in today's modern armed forces, providing commanders with the option of flexibly employing air assets.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pathfinder_(military)#South_Africa Here the KDF special army team and long range recon unit perform this role. Some Saffa 44 Para of the pathfinder platoon on duty in the DRC. 3 Likes
