Atiku’s Lawyers Boycott Supreme Court by Despirado121(op): 12:44pm On Nov 15, 2019
Lawyers representing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate in the 2019 elections, Atiku Abubakar, on Friday shunned the Supreme Court.

The apex court had fixed Friday to give its reasons for the dismissal of their appeal challenging the outcome of the February 23 presidential election.

All of the over 20 senior lawyers and over 30 juniors stayed away from the court.

However, lawyers who represent President Muhammadu Buhari, his party, the All Progressives Congress; and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were in court.

The Supreme Court led by Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Tanko Muhammad, had on October 30 dismissed Atiku and PDP’s appeal, announcing that it would give reasons for its decision on a date to be later announced (Friday).

What do you expect? They know that Atiku will not pay a dime again for shoddy job they did. The man is in Saudi Arabia counting his losses.

They ought to

But nonetheless their presence wouldn't have held any value
But their absence also doesn't convey any meaning apart from the usual "They are not happy with the decision of the court, but since it is a decision from the Apex Court they have no other choice than to abide by it"
