Some hours a go you posted that the police saw them last on Saturday at 2 pm after election. In whose presence were the results collate? Well I thank God they are all safe.
Re: 30 ‘missing’ INEC Staff Found by jaxxy(m): 5:05pm On Nov 17, 2019
And the results where not harmed and rigged either right? So where were they? How do they know the elections weren’t tampered and have they been confirmed authentic? All these shabby information INEC gives like they are performing magic.

Why are we even budgeting enormous amount for elections when politicians will rig it in the end.

They budget billions, 30000 police personnel’s per state, etc. and yet election continues to be rigged.

Since 2003, rigging rigging rigging. Nigeria matter don tire me finally.
The thing tire me sef. Everytime the FG complains there is no money for meaningful projects like road rehabilitation and job creation but when it comes to elections, they budget hundreds of billions yet politicians will still rig. That is why I don't risk my life to vote for anybody no matter your party because all Nigerian politicians are the same. Well make we just dey endure because the matter no start today, na since 2003 like you rightly said.

Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, in a statement Sunday in Abuja, said the staff were safe and sound while they had also concluded their election day assignments.

While they had also concluded their election day assignments.

Endure till when? We’ve been enduring each party since then. Now APC modified the PDP rigging machinery to make it more perfect and after several years another party will improve on APC rigging might and the cycle continues.

Even revolution is hard to pull, if military collect power Na another wahala. Only time can heal Nigeria of its terminal disease.

Politicians want to rig that's why they don't want to change the manual system of voting.

Seriously I think a disciplined soldier taking over this country will be the best solution. I don't think we are ready for real democracy. I just wish the military can sanitize this country. Then refresh the whole system and start a new democratic process by
1) Amending the 1999 constitution to reduce too much power on the centre.
2) Adopt a two party system like in 1993 elections.
3) Adopt a 6 year single tenure for elective offices.
4) The winning party must form a coalition government with the loosing party to incorporate everybody and avoid jumping from one party to the other. This will prevent the ruling party from being too powerful like the days of pdp from 1999-2015.

This is just my humble opinion.

My brother even the electronic voting will be difficult to pull off because we don't have a central data base that captures all Nigerians. Ben Bruce suggested using sim cards but we know it won't work because sim registration is flawed and one person can own multiple sims. NIMC are not serious at all, if not NIN would have been used. The best option would have been the use of BVN but there are still eligible adults especially in the core north that don't operate bank accounts.

Yes it will.
Also drastically reducing the cost of governance to make it less attractive financially will attract people that really want to serve the people.

The manual system doesn't capture all Nigerians too, yet they stick to it.

Can you name the benefit of this manual system over the electronic system?

The electronic voting is better if we have the requirements in place. E-voting will cost less and save lives too. Many countries still use manual voting and still get good results. Our problem is INEC. If INEC can conduct elections devoid of bias and party interference, the situation will be better. If these challenges are not defeated, even if we adopt e-voting, INEC and our politicians will still manipulate and rig it. I don't see how a president would appoint a person as INEC chairman and that person won't be loyal or sympathetic to the president. For instance, GEJ didnt exert his influence on inec but same cant be said of OBJ and Maurice Iwu or Buhari and Yakubu. We say INEC is an independent body but it has to show its independence by finding a way to choose her leader without FG's intervention.

BVN is our best option,if those elderly people can queue up to register do voters cards, they should do that same to get enrolled for BVN. Are we as a people not tired of this bloodletting g every election. All the violence meted out to poor electorates who come out to perform the civic duties every election.
If Bihari is serious he would Sign the amendment of the electoral Bill,if our legislature is serious, Bvn which is the only data base that has not been corrupted in this country yet would serve as our national data base in the interim pending when a more robust and all inclusive data base is designed.
From where I stand its obvious to me, our political class are not ready to do the needful yet. Even those crying today would sing a different tune if the situation favours them tomorrow. Imagine all the noise about restructuring pre2015 and compare it with the narrative recently and then you would know they are all a bunch of clowns with pink coloured noses.

You made a good point but I doubt these current crop of politicians and Buhari would sign that bill. The status quo favours them greatly.
