A father stares at the hand and foot of his five-year-old daughter severed as a punishment for failing to make the daily rubber quota, Belgian Congo, 1904.

The man’s name was Nsala. He had failed to make his daily rubber quota, so the Belgian-appointed overseers cut off his...

daughter’s hand and foot.

Her name was Boali and she was five years old. Then they killed her.

But they weren’t finished; they killed his wife too.

And because that didn’t seem quite cruel enough, quite strong enough to make their case, they ate both Boali and her mother...

and presented Nsala with the tokens; the leftovers from the once-living body of his darling child whom he so loved. His life was destroyed

Sad as the story is , one needs to learn the lessons one can learn from such barbarism. And preserve the sacrifices so that lessons maybe learnt by the coming generations and same incidents r not allowed to happen again.

Point is does one have the necessary understanding to draw the correct lessons from the same

Anybody want to give a try ?
And point out the lesson to draw from the above ?

for me: we are all animals trying to behave like humans.

And SANT being test-fired from MI35

Range 15-20 km , MMW seeker for all weather operations.

That's truly "stand off " distance. What were the results if I may ask?

Israeli Tamir interceptor seeker recovered intact in Gaza . Also includes the laser proximity fuze.

The Iranians will be happy grin grin

And the Chinese will be to totally crazed grin grin grin

And possibly the Russians might take a peek grin

Israelis will be mourning grin

Indi.... will be in anguish grin

Allegedly a upscaled and refined seeker of this very same seeker in being used in LRSAM and MRSAM. undecided ( not confirmed )

Though it will be extremely difficult to break the algos.

At the best some of the hardware portions might be reverse engineered

My bad! What's the back story?

Wrong when the pictorial says helium hydride gave rise to hydrogen molecules. Its the reverse. Hydrogen and Helium atoms gave rise to HeH+ molecules. Hydrogen definitely (or most likely) came before helium, judging from the periodic table, the library of matter in the universe.

The correct order is quarks > protons& neutrons > nuclei > atoms (Hydrogen and Helium) > HeH+molecules > Stars > stars explode to form heavier atoms like carbon, oxygen and iron.

grin

Hydrogen atom - H ( 1 electron / 1 proton )

Hydrogen molecule - H2 ( 2 electron / 2 proton )

Helium atom - ( 2 electron / 2 proton )

Helium molecule is a misnomer because helium is a inert element and hence helium atoms don't combine with other helium atoms or atoms of other elements ( under normal conditions )

So hydrogen atoms combined with helium atoms to form helium hydride HeH+ ( under special conditions - extremely high temp / press )

HeH+ will not exist in normal conditions.

Hydrogen atom ( H ) was not able to combine with another hydrogen atom ( H ) becz of energy conditions then did not allow it to happen. So hydrogen molecule ( H2 ) did not exist then / form first.

While energy conditions then allowed the combination of helium and hydrogen atom leading to formation of helium hydride the first molecules.

Later as the temperature of universe cooled gradually these helium hydride molecules combined to form hydrogen molecules since the energy required for combination of HeH+ molecules was less than required for combination of H atoms to form H2 molecules.

Aluminium cenosphere syntactic foam which can be placed as a layer in buildings, bridges and flyovers to protect them from collapsing or suffering severe damage during a bomb blast.

During an explosion the voids inside the material would absorb the blast and the material would shrink in volume. This material can also be used in tunnels, ammunition depots, armoured vehicles and tanks.

If a tank with a layer of this material moves over a mine, 80 per cent of the blast impact will be taken by the material.

Developed by Tanusree Chakraborty, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, and Sunita Mishra, a PhD student at IIT Delhi.

From left to right (pic)

1) The material is being tested in a machine which has a gas gun. “Striker bars” hit the material at different levels, which are correlated to different intensities of blasts.

2) Different models of the material.

3) The machine can conduct experiments at 120 psi. At this level in a real life blast, a building will be obliterated.

4) Dr. Tanusree Chakraborty, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, and Sunita Mishra, a PhD student.

Wow! Can you give more detail on the actual mechanics of the material. I hope the good doc is officially acknowledged by GoI.

Don't have any more info.

Successful r & d does not always translate into successful production run due to many reasons

Hope this one does

If drdo is funding it then it has high chance of going into production.

Fell short of confirming the point grin

The point is, as you said:
So hydrogen atoms combined with helium atoms to form helium hydride HeH+ ( under special conditions - extremely high temp / press )

Your photo was misleading.

No doubt HeH+ ions exist only under special conditions like the early universe, Helium Stars, and H 2 regions.

Hydrogen atom ( H ) was not able to combine with another hydrogen atom ( H ) becz of energy conditions then did not allow it to happen. So hydrogen molecule ( H2 ) did not exist then / form first.
Later as the temperature of universe cooled gradually these helium hydride molecules combined to form hydrogen molecules since the energy required for combination of HeH+ molecules was less than required for combination of H atoms to form H2 molecules.

Was talking of atoms not gases dammit! 1H not H2. Only molecule I mentioned was HeH+ and I should have said ion anyway.

While energy conditions then allowed the combination of helium and hydrogen atom leading to formation of helium hydride the first molecules.

Precisely. Confirming the point in every step

Thats all that matter grin

Then HeH+ combined to form H2 molecules as the temp / press fell but not not low enough to allow hydrogen atom ( H ) combine with itself to form hydrogen molecule ( H2 ).

So combination of HeH+ molecules lead to formation of first H2 molecules . grin

Latest news coming out suggest that the single engined naval MWF ( LCA MK2 ) has been replaced with a new clean sheet twin engined carrier based naval fighter under the TEDBF program.

IN did not want a naval fighter which was derived from an air force fighter. They wanted a fighter which was designed grounds up for carrier operation. Also the TEDBF will have no relation with the 5 th generation AMCA.

Wanna know why i regard many of the ind.. institutions as moronic

Here is one of the reason

" Now the army and defence ministry, and Northern Command in particular, are Tonbo’s clients but Ind... was late to the party. The company’s tech took a circuitous route via the US Special Forces and Israeli Army before reaching Ind... hands.

Tonbo got on the radar of the Ind... Armed Forces only during a joint exercise with NATO eight years ago. Some of the weapons the US Army showcased had Tonbo smarts.

" This came from an engineering centre in Bengaluru, they told the Indians. That’s when the army reached out to us. Five countries were buying our tech before Ind... bought from us,” recalls Arvind Lakshmikumar, founder and CEO of Tonbo Imaging. That it took so long to gain his home country’s trust is the only low point Lakshmikumar can think of in his entrepreneurial journey so far. "

The behaviour which i posted above is a classic example of induced low esteem through brainwashing.

This is a icetip of a bigger problem

When a country which lets leftists and liberals run amok with falsified and prejudiced interpretation of one's history , twisting the same to glorify the inhuman islamic and colonial invaders while denigrating native culture , tradition and hero's etc and those narratives are spread through books in schools and colleges the majority of the population ends up with low self respect and trust for one's own self and for one's countrymen.

And end of the day things like in the above post happen . We end up needing outsiders to certify our trust in our own people and in our own capabilities

In/dia’s DRDO Forced To Ditch LCA Navy Mk2 For Cleansheet Twin-Engine Jet Design

A new twin-engine naval fighter design proposal is taking shape at India’s principal combat aircraft design house in Bengaluru to supply the In/dian Navy with a future fighter for its aircraft carriers. The proposed fighter, with officially stated plans for a first flight by 2026, isn’t a choice but a compulsion. And it effectively puts on hold the Mk.2 version of the single-engine naval Light Combat Aircraft (N-LCA).

The proposal is a dramatic shift in plans by the DRDO-administered Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), which until as recently as February, had been fine-tuning design changes on the LCA Navy Mk.2. Plans on the new jet design were first revealed earlier this week on Delhi Defence Review here. But here’s the rub: the DRDO isn’t switching tracks willingly, but has rather been forced into pursuing a twin-engine design by the Indian Navy. After years of studies on the LCA Navy and the proposed LCA Navy Mk.2, the navy has made it clear it doesn’t want a single engine fighter.

TEDBF will most probably end up looking like the early iteration of AMCA which sports prominent rear stabilators and LERX for vortex generation.

Other features like folding wings etc will be incorporated into the cleen sheet design of TEDBF
