I don't know why you guys always ask silly question it's not mandatory to buy from Innoson, knowing the country Nigeria is, your questions would've make sense if it was eastern governor.
I swear man,as someone from the east, it's really starting to get very annoying.

Those cars are equally assembled in Nigeria
What's your point. Should we continue to encourage foreign made cars as against what we have in nigeria.. Especially for the govt??

Like u can even afford a tk car anyways lol
Why are you even talking to them?..
Leave them to do whatever they want in their region. Buy IVM or not doesn't stop the company from growing..

My point is that there are other companies asembling cars and are equally employing people in Nigeria. I dont want to get into this debate again but the only real difference between Innoson and the others is that Innoson is a Nigerian.

Whether you buy innoson or any of the other assembled in Nigeria cars should not be an issue, they all create jobs in Nigeria, they all import all or majority of the parts that make up the cars but at least there is some local content if only labour and jobs . Our real problem are cars like Toyota, that our govt officials like to buy that add no value because there in no local value added content..

they cant do that because there are other assembly plants in Nigeria. What they should do is pass a law banning the purchase of imported vehicles by govt agencies if there is an alternative assembled/made in Nigeria.

govt has no business buying Toyotas or lexus!!

The whole idea of buying the innoson brand is to make the brand stronger, and then attract foreign investors. If we don't use what we produce, how will they trust the brand?
And this offcourse have to start from the govt. If the people in the country toyota is made didn't trust the brand enough to buy and use, how would others trust the brand, and even scramble for the second hand of their products.
This is just simple logic. Nobody is saying cars should not be assembled anywhere.

Why couldn't he buy from Innosson ?
What's the difference in cost?
Charity should start from home, some states already using Innossin motors.
Innosson motors doesn't have credit facility, Kia will give this cars out with payment period of 2-3 years

Like I said I do not want to get into this because i have had debates on this in the past. But to summarise:

There is nothing Innoson is doing that is that much different from Hyuandai, Kia, Honda, Peugeot, and soon Volkswagen. they all take ready parts from abroad and assemble them in Nigeria. Innoson uses some parts manufactured in Nigeria e.g batteries etc but the majority of the components are manufactured in China and assembled in Nigeria. Innoson is not a Nigerian car per se, strictly speaking, it is a Nigerian brand please understand the difference. If you go to other countries in Africa you will see the same innoson cars marketed under different names. it is simply a Chinese brand that is rebranded in Nigeria as innoson. I am not knocking them and there is nothing wrong with that......Rome was not built in a day.

So long as they are providing jobs in Nigeria I dont care. My problem are those who control the lion share of the auto market, add no value, provide no jobs and REFUSE to establish an assembly plant in Nigeria but instead went to Ghana to establish one. i.e Toyota.

In any event are you saying Nigerians should not patronise assembled in Nigeria Kia, VW, Honda, Peugeot etc because of innoson? what of all the billions they invested in setting up the plants here? what of all the Nigerians they employ?

I agree with you. I am just saying that Innoson isnt the only one in Nigeria "assembling" or "manufacturing" cars.
