I've said it before and I'll repeat: RSA looks good in SSA. In the real world among even 2nd world nations like Brazil, Mexico or Thailand it's indices; GDP per capita, longevity etc, etc are typically African.
Also RSA had an earlier headstart in manufacturing and hi tech industries; check out their arms industry, and should be doing better.
If you're capable look at the WB Human Capacity Index to see their educational outcome. They outspend us like 2.5x yet their keeping company with you at the bottom of the educational assessment table.
If our growth continues and RSA continues to stagnate I'll happily start a new thread in 2030 discussing them.

They expect 1B dollars from Oil - In 2019, Government expects to make total petroleum receipts of US$1,080
million. This comprises Royalties (US$227 million), Carried and Participating
Interest (US$602 million), Corporate Income Tax (US$250 million) and Surface
Rentals (US$1million).

I am betting my house the stuttering CEDIS will see IMF back in Accra precisely in 1st Q of 2021. The fundamentals are all messed up. Debt this year will rise to 60% of debt to GDP. And they just rebased by 25% last year. So they cannot rebase again. Next year it's an election year - things are already bad - because the budget and reality - is something else - so expect debt to gdp to rise to 75% and IMF will be in Accra for 17th mission to rescue Ghana.

On that count - Nigeria is way better. Nigeria seem to manage their macro-economics better. Naira has 3 exchange rates - but otherwise it pretty stable now....unless OIL crashes.

At 2:36 you get to see two different layers of tarmac of different shades,the dull one appears to be marked,the one from Upperhill which is darker isn't.The roads at upperhill in some sections which are new are yet to be marked,otherwise there are no potholes,only road side beautification is needed. You can see there is plenty of available space,the area is seeing development now.
