They already have. Its a rubber stamp senate we have. Still miss the senate led by Saraki, those people made the presidency to sit up, they scrutinized every proposed bill, even the internal politics amongst them was matured. Not these ones that dont even know the content of the bill they are passing. 24 Likes |

It's too late. When Saraki was trying to show us how independent the legislature should be, some dingbats thought he was acting against the government. The government is now a property of miyetti Allah 26 Likes 1 Share |

...But they said Saraki was too ambitious to lead the senate. Now that the APC were able to install their stooges, let the undermining (of the constitution) continue! How about the (so-called last hope of the common man) judiciary? It seems everyone is now afraid of the executive arm of government and it’s very dangerous for our democracy. 15 Likes |

That independence was surrendered a long time ago. A more appropriate advice would be to tell them to think of their post-NASS life and do what is right. However, in the final analysis, the people would have to take their fate in their hands. Hong Kong, Chile, Algeria etc on my mind. Let me come and be going o, before dem accuse me of hate speech. I nor wan die. 1 Like |

PDP has lost every fight. National Assembly is their new target now. Look, the Arms of Government don't necessarily have to be at war in order to function. We ought to commend and appreciate the cordial relationship within the various Arms of Government. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

PDP is pained and wailing over their many losses. Get used to it, the legislature doesn't have to be at loggerheads with the executive to prove they're independent. Useless PDP. 2 Likes |

So being at loggerheads with the Presidency is the "Independence" PDP wants. Clowns, they're just criminals that are crying wolf since they're finally loosing their last grip on the nation's resources. 1 Like |

netpro:No one is advocating war. checks and balances doesn't mean war. If the legislative arm of government is established simply to say "yes sir" to every move of the executive, then there would be no need for its establishment. What we want is a national assembly which truly have the interest if their immediate constituencies at heart. 10 Likes |

netpro:can you listen to yourself? are you aware of what's happening in this country at all? the arms of govt don't have to be at war, but when there is no objectivity... bro, naija isn't headed in a good direction at the moment. To tell yourself otherwise is a sign that you have been able to lie to yourself. Convincingly. 6 Likes 1 Share |
