A Taxify driver simply identified as Gabriel Wisdom, was reportedly killed by yet to be identified persons who ordered for his service on the hailing app.

The suspects killed Wisdom and went away with his white Toyota Corolla on Friday November 22nd. His body was discovered on Saturday at Abijo around Ajah axis in Lagos state.

Gabriel's friend, Kusedenva Deji, who shared the sad story online, said Gabriel was on Hire Purchase and would have finished paying for the vehicle he was using for his transportation business this December.

Please the public should assist to repost to make sure taxify takes up this case to investigate through SCID get the call logs and location of this guys. Its doable and a lot have done it.

Taxify need to protect her agents and also the riders because we all will be affected when drivers decline night movement or don't carry more than one person.

Unless the car has a tracker monitored by the owner, he wouldn't at any point in time, know where the driver is. I know of a diligent taxify operator who doesn't see the owner for 2-3 months. He deposits the agreed sum as and when due.

It could be a case of robbery where the driver tried to resist. What a wicked world we live in!

But you don’t fear countries like the United States where crimes like this, is a norm every single day? The only problem with Nigeria when it comes to incidents like this, is simply the inability of the police to carry out an investigation and arrest the culprits.

Consequences of the retailization of an economy, when the economy was good who would volunteer his/ her car as taxi?

People often take to taxi driving because there is nothing else to do, the risk is just too much especially at night with the declining security levels we currently have MHSRIP.

The car thieves probably sell the vehicle as non accidented foreign used ride.

If he doesn't finish payment, the car returns to the owner (whenever the police finds it), all amount he already paid would be forfeited. The original Owner should also be a suspect, but it could just be coincidence.

I hope you are not the owner o, this one you are volunteering suspects as well.

HHmm, hmm ,you are not a good investigative officer. The first suspect is not the owner, but the friend (Kusedenva) who is quick to divert attention to the owner. He gives the police a quick clue to divert their attention and time. He could be the prime suspect. if I'm the police, I will follow the lead his friend gives rigorously I will even involve the friend to help us instigate the car owner, but my target will be the friend, I will put surveillance on him 24hrs but I will make him relax and feel we are only interested in the car owner.
