Curtis Jones scored twice as Liverpool secured victory in an entertaining Premier League 2 clash at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Neil Critchley's under-23s extended their unbeaten run to nine matches with a 5-3 win at the AMEX Elite Performance Centre on Friday afternoon.

Skipper Jones netted in the second half after Harvey Elliott, Isaac Christie-Davies and Luis Longstaff put the Reds in control before half-time.

Liverpool were 4-0 up for almost half-an-hour during the second half before late defensive lapses allowed Brighton to make the scoreline somewhat more respectable.
