You always base your logics on HDI and GDP per capita forgetting that GDP per capita is only a determining factor of inflation rate and maybe comparing the living standards between nations, but nominal GDP is more useful when comparing national economies including wealth of a country on international level. Are we not ahead of you in nominal GDP? Anyway They didn't use GDP alone, They also based it on other indices that measure country's economy which I believe only few countries in Africa can challenge Kenya, , you got stats so no need of breaking it down for you, you can do it by yourself. Finally, pictures speaks volume. To conclude, Kenya is the fifth richest country in Africa After South Africa, Morocco, Egypt and Nigeria.

when I was in Abuja it was during obasanjo's time it was so hectic because it was the pick of the dry season and so hot. There were serious electrical shortages sometimes we were only getting electricity in the middle of Abuja for about 2 hours in 24 hours there were serious electrical faults all over the city. When I went to the defence headquarters they said they have not switched off their generators for 3 weeks and there were fears that the generators were going to pack up. Where the big generators were they put two military fire engines next to them so they do not catch on fire because they were overworked. Abuja is less crowded than Lagos and less polluted than Lagos. When the city was built the planning was very good but when the Nigerian government took over they messed up the planning big time. In Abuja supposed to have a heavy industrial area and a light industrial area on the heavy industrial area they went to erect the Central Mosque and central church one church with the protesters one church for the Catholics. All so the central sewer system was neglected and Abuja was designed to give gas to residential properties including hotels but that plan was scrapped. The Nigerian government took over the city and messed it up big time sharing the land among themselves and getting rid of the plan and layout. That is the biggest problem with my country Nigeria if the government kept to the plan it would have been one of the best cities in Africa. I also see the same thing happening to eko Atlantic right now all the politicians are just putting their hands in it and messing it up the honest and hardworking Nigerians do not even want to invest in the place anymore right there they go to other African countries and build houses
