Kano state Executive Council has approved Emirate Council Bill 2019 which provides for the establishment of additional Emirates in the state.

To this end, the Council has, with this development, endorsed the establishment of four new Emirates namely Rano, Gaya, Bichi and Karaye and forward same to the state Assembly for necessary action.

A press statement issued by the commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba at the end of the Council Session held at the Council Chambers, Government House, Kano, on Monday, indicated that some of these emirates have even pre-dated Kano in ancient times, while the effort to revive them during the Second Republic was short-lived.

This man really means Sanusi. I hope Kano will not become a theatre of political wars if the Supreme Court later sacks Ganduje and installs Abba Yusuf, since/because it's Sanusis support for Abba that caused all these palaver.

Sanusi's emirate has been divided before and he is lord over a small region.
What we do not know is whether the 4 proposed emirates are still derived from Sanusi's or from the new emirate

Then why the need for this since the law has already been passed? It's a way of trying to tell Sanusi that the recent court ruling will not be obeyed.

Sanusi Lamido did not support Abba Yusuf. Instead, he just spoke severally against the status quo, against the establishment, against the whole policy of impoverishing the poor more and more. Unfortunately Gandollar took that as opposing his government.

You will alo recall that it was Rabiu Kwakwaso the former governor of Kano that installed Sanusi Lamido. Now, Rabiu Kwakwaso is now with Abba Yusuf, that is one of the reasons that made Gandollar to insinuate that Sanusi Lamido was against his(Gandollar) government.

Did you not see the news stories where Sanusi visited the then Kano police commissioner and commended him for not allowing the election to be compromised, before the supplementary election? Even if he was offended by his prior statements, that election support for Abba was the last straw.
