Calm down sir... Liverpool has done well without doubt, but thank the stars for the absence of the cutting edge in Man City, the growing pains of Man United, the unabated decline of Arsenal, transfer ban on Chelsea coupled with a novice manager (like United), Everton's nightmare of a season, and Spur's determination to ruin Pochettino...

You see, it wasn't simply down to your being exceptional... grin

If you had even half a brain, you would know that every top team's underperformance or loss of points hugely boosts the chances of the top unbeaten team in the race to win the title...

Let me help your ignorance...

1. Every point dropped by Bayern Munich pushes Dortmund nearer the trophy.
2. A drop in form by Barca and Atletico boosts a high flying Madrid closer to La Liga title.
3. Juventus and Inter case is self explanatory.

Now, run along.

I put forth a clearly observable trend among most top teams which has clearly worked in Liverpool's exceptional favour... Is that a fact or a fallacious presumption??!...

Why are you Nigerian EPL fans so unnecessarily touchy and aggressive??!... Na wa o.

Many pundits, and foreign Liverpool fans have also echoed my thoughts on this matter...

What are you saying bro? We're 32 games unbeaten in the league this. We've played 16 games so far this season, won 15, drew 1. Currently lead the next challenger by 11 points. Yet you say it's not down to our brilliance that we're top.
The season city won with about 100 points, was it down to their brilliance or everybody fucking up?

Last seasom when city won by a point despite us losing just 1 game, was it down to their brilliance or everybody's Bleep up?

We're pulling the same numbers city pulled in Pep's record breaking league season and you're saying it's down to everybody's fuckup.

lol! winning 15 out of 16 is not exceptional or what? all these you mentioned are excuses, Liverpool has been exceptional so far, just like when city won it 2seasons ago. normally their won't be this gap if Liverpool are not exceptional, so get your facts right.
No excuses

Quick questions...

1. Was Leicester winning of the EPL years ago down solely to their exceptional brilliance alone??!
2. If the bundesliga season ends right now, will Borussia Monchegladbach winning it be down solely to their brilliance??!
3. If number 2 happens in Italy this minute, will Lukaku's team lifting the trophy be said to be solely due to their brilliance??!...

... I have never at any point said Liverpool is unexceptional or undeserving of this top position. The point I have been making has to do with the widening gulf between them and their closest contenders... Is the gulf in question due solely to their exceptional brilliance, or are the failings and fumblings of the other top teams not playing to their advantage??!...

Critical reasoning and discourse are clearly too much to ask of most football fans. I am done with you all. grin

It's funny you speak of critical reasoning but lack the capacity to utilize your phone and data for something as simple as fact finding. Guess that'd be too much work.

Of the leagues you mentioned, only inter milan has a points record that's remotely close to Liverpool's. How can you compare someone that's won 12, drawn 2 and lost 1 in 15 to a team that's won 15 and drawn 1 in 16.
Note that inter's record isn't even bad for this stage of the season.
Out of a possible 48 points, Liverpool have 46 points and you say that's down to the failings of others?

Extrapolate that to any of the other leagues and it'd still be a running away with the league stat.

Leicester won the league with 81 points, the closest Challenger actually had 71. 81 points is the 4th lowest title winning points tally in EPL history. Your argument here, has substance. But we're talking about a team that's since last season has lost only one game.
Liverpool lost the league by a single point despite amassing 93 points. That's 12 more than Leicester in 15/16.
No comparison to be made here.

At this stage of the season, others aren't underperforming, Liverpool have just been exceptional.

Bye bye

Yes Boss, indeed they have outdone themselves this season, and nothing should stand in their way to winning this exalted trophy...

However, stating that other top teams have been average so far is not trying to taint Liverpool's success or records, it's stating the plain and obvious fact...

Tell your fellow fans (especially the kids among them), to breathe... They are taking this unduly personal. It's actually amusing. grin

Shut up your mouth and stopped being a pessimist! Even after the injury thay has plagued the Reds, still they sour, you are here saying rubbish facts when you are not OptaJoe.

Have you forgotten how they let the title slipped last year? How they chased City till the end, this is that same Liverpool, with same mentality but now they have added consistency, thats why they are called MENTALITY MONSTERS!

Critical reasoning is impossible without common sense and that is what you lack, you should start from the ordinary before going to the extraordinary else you reason like a fool.

It is only a fool that sees others as reason for there failures or success.

In the beautiful game of football, you win some matches and you lose some too. The more you win ,the more your chances of claiming the title and vice versa. The word is consisitency week in week out. Period!
