It would have been earlier but they passed my area confusing Itowolo with Itaoluwo... had to dial 112 back when I heard their Siren begin to fade (like they were passing by) and that’s what made them return on time.

NEVER you blame the police force ... they’re underequipped , undertrained , underpaid and overstretched.

112 has been working in Lagos for more than 2 years now.

I knew of the Lagos , package and funded by the Lagos State government.. that's if the can follow her Template

If say you dial 112, they go tell u say:

Hello, we are busy right now because we dey chop pomo

Hope it's charge free and can be called without airtime from all network.

If not, still not there

To the people who want to dial it to "test" or greet them, it is a crime to call emergency numbers if there is no emergency

FYI y'all, this isn't a new development. This has been on ground since barely 2005, just that it officially kick-started 2012

I have dialled it here in Akwa Ibom and is not working, the voice said is not asign to a customer

Yes it is toll free, you don't have to pay for it. As a matter of fact, this number has been in existence even before the advent of GSM in Nigeria. You can even dial it from a brand new phone without a sim card.

It's working. My niece innocently dialed it while playing with my locked phone and it was recieved. I quickly ended the call as there was no emergency case at hand

We wee not take it. NCC is partial. Only seven northern states and ten southern states.
