It's quite natural for Igbos to regard them as part of them because you can't really differentiate them. I mean, these people are same people in all aspects. Never seen Igbos claim tribes like Effik, Idoma, Ibibio, etc. These are close tribes but they don't speak same language. These people speak Igbo and practice Igbo culture and traditions. Actually Igbo's or Igbos has said Rivers is part of Igbos, this is annoying because Rivers has many ethnicities and if you want to take Ikwerre, I won't have a problem, that is a score between you and Ikwerre to settle but most times you hear Rivers is biafra knowing that we have Kalabari, Ogoni, Obopo and other ethnic group here, you claim Rivers because there is Ikwerre, you forgot Ikwerre is just part of Rivers State and not the entire Rivers state.
So when the Ikwerre rejects Igbos, its like a melody to our hears, if you want us to stay out of the way, you should stay out of Rivers way.

I was trying to tell you that the igbiod groups in Rivers might be the majority if they unit for political reasons,
but they are not united, the ikwerre igbo do things separately from the epkeye igbo ,as long as politics is concerned every tribe or ethnic group in Rivers state fight for the position of governer, the majority are the ogonis, kerebari and the ikwerre Igbo , epkeye Igbo don't unit with the ikwerres , the ekpeye Igbo has been complaining of marginalizion since after the civil war,

so wike was talking about Rivers state politics simple
