This scene is crazy even crazier when you think about what they were thankful for. The film deserves that Best Foreign Oscar.

The ending is rather different from the book and did not quite do it justice, but it was a very entertaining movie nonetheless.

A must watch!!

Yet to see this.

The dancing scene in chapter one creeped me out for some reason. It felt evil.

You can go ahead and watch it in case there are some things you'll see in the sequel that the prequel will explain, but just don't expect to see anything scary about the The Shinning. It's bland to me but all the same, watch it for the sake of the sequel.

Lol, I once saw someone on Facebook bash most Horror movies from the 70's 80's 90's saying they weren't scary at all. Infact going as far as saying they were truly funny and Hilarious. grin

I already downloaded it 2 months ago but can't find time to watch it, that was when I was in my horror "craze mode".

I downloaded it after seeing an article saying it was amongst the scariest horror films of all time alongside The Exorcist, The Exorcism of Emily Rose and It Follows. grin

Even the author hated the movie (Google it or watch Ready Player One, it was mentioned in the movie).

TBH, the movie would've been fun and scary to me if I'd watched it in my kid days or back in the 80s when it was made. But, using my current knowledge of horror movies, the movie doesn't measure up.
