Santa Claus also known as Father Christmas is legendary,unique and global figure from Western Culture that brings gifts to children.

While masquerade is a popular figure in Africa that dances,entertains and prays for people during festive period.

However, according to Mr. Okutade Adedoyin, C.E.O Somolu Focus media,Santa Clause is widely accepted because it welcomes and gives gifts,while masquerade sometimes scare and demand money from people.
By and large,Adedoyin opines that African masquerades must be accessible and charitable enough for global acceptance.
