When Abacha wanted to create a homogeneous Ijaw state, Kalabari, Okrika et al refused to accept Ijaw tag, now dem dey make noise for Rivers state. Bayelsa is still there, you can port freely, nobody cares.

Everyone knows the occupational hazards of political thuggery which may include but not limited to injuries, wounds, death. They died in active service. Don't forget that they were already paid.

IYC need to figure out how to wrestle power away from the Igbo part of Rivers State. Odili, Amaechi, Wike are not Ijaw. Ijaw people claim to be warriors. So the other parts of Rivers have resorted to using them as thugs since they claim to love fighting. It is time for introspection. Unleashing Asari Dokubo once in awhile to start yarning dust about Ijaw supremacy (even though their subservience is self-evident) is not a good political move.

truth be told, all developments Is just about obio akpor and PH. like or hate Amaechi, but he made developments go round the 23 LGA in his time.
his only son was fighting GEJ.
Woke just came in and started doing only PH and Obio Akpor and more and more people are coming in from other area of the state to obio and PH...
PH is now a mini Lagos in term of never ending Traffic issue Etc

I was expecting wike to at least dedicate his second tenure to developing the other LGA.

Because the structure of Nigeria is all wrong. There is nothing in the constitition that compels or designates what a governor can or should do to develop a state. This is the principal failings if a unitary system.

If States and indeed local goverments were completely independent then the burden of development can be broader and more potent, if the various tiers of goverment were completely independent then accountability can be thorough with citizens able to better reach those who should care.

It is the structure of the country that has caused these problems. It has left the least opportuned citizens at the mercy of governance that is too far away. There is just no way Wike can understand and appreciate what goes on in the towns and villages. He cannot. He should not. Just as the IG of police cannot appreciate or understand what happens in a vilkage a thousand miles from Abuja but he has all the power, all the resources domiciled with him. This is wrong.

The ijaws are not problematic, their ancestors are warlords which they normally called Omu Alabo, time to time they have the festival of their battles, like the go-to-niger.
Their children has these traits and will always be like this for generations to come.
That is why we have people like Asari, Soboma, Ateke and the rest.
The ijaws are actually one of the most notorious tribe in Nigeria despite their small number, during 2019 election, Abonnema boys were brave or stupid enough to go head to head with the Nigerian Army, that is something only Boko haram does.
