Barack Obama has said women make better leaders than men.


The former US President, while speaking in Singapore, said women aren’t perfect, but are “indisputably better” than men. He added that if women ran every country in the world there would be a general improvement in living standards and outcomes.

He said most of the problems in the world came from old people, mostly men, holding onto positions of power. He also spoke about political polarisation and the use of social media to spread falsehoods.

Speaking at the private event on leadership, Mr Obama said while in office he had mused what a world run by women would look like.

He said:

Now women, I just want you to know; you are not perfect, but what I can say pretty indisputably is that you’re better than us [men].

I’m absolutely confident that for two years if every nation on earth was run by women, you would see a significant improvement across the board on just about everything… living standards and outcomes.

When asked if he would ever consider going back into political leadership, he said he believed in leaders stepping aside when the time came.

Obama is dodgy and always up to his usual antics of hiding his devilish motives under tact clichés. Its easy Mr. Obama, you're trying to warm um America for a Mitchell presidential contest. And the straight answer to that is you're just too transparent and America won't follow your words which proved time after time as deceitful and untrustworthy

@bold, they should take a cue from finland

I don't believe good leadership is based on gender.
But I believe men and women are capable of being better leaders on their own capabilities not necessarily on who is better.

Even the term better leader is subjective to many.
Who is a better leader to you might be an average leader to me.

Why didn't he say this when he was contesting the Democratic primaries with Hilary?

Like Buhari like Obama.

But I have also seen very wicked ladies that I once considered the devil may likely be a Female.

So what I do now is consider my take on people individually. Be they male or female, young or old.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Obama is spewing trash and he’s clearly up to some gimmick except for the old men in power statement.

Women can make better leaders under certain conditions,but political leadership is never a very easy ride if not so,the issues in Hong Kong of recent,South Korea etc wouldn’t come up.

Hilary Clinton despite her levels of exposure in leadership made terrible blunders and showed poor sense of judgment while serving as Secretary of State.

Mr Obama is therefore in error for generalizing without facts.
