I used to have a friend who had a child out of wedlock and she's always painting the child's face with makeup.. a girl of 10 years. I noticed the makeup stuff when the girl was 5 or 6 years and it continued for years before I summoned courage to advice her to stop it. My opening my mouth to say it ended our 6 years friendship coz she insulted me and blocked me on social media. I didn't regret what I said shaa but with the way she's going, the thing that happened in 1900 will repeat itself again.
You've done your part but it's left for her to take your good advice.

"An apple doesn't fall far from it's tree" , so don't be surprised when the child grows up to become a single mother.

I don't personally think kids under age 13 should have any form of make-up. Their skin is still tender and fresh, so I don't know exactly what mums try to achieve with making up their kids when they're so young.

Anyway, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this, especially mums.

Totally wrong and unacceptable. Kids should not be overly concerned about their appearance until 16 years or so and even then u start guiding them on it. Makeup is not a play thing for children. It can attract the wrong attention to them.

How about the set of parent, who see nothing in bring their kids to night clubbing and different bar all in the name of enjoyment. Anytime I see these set of parents, I feel sad and disturbed.

At tender age, children shouldn't be expose to such environment or activity, they deserve to choose their path.

Maybe am too local sa.

Some papernts should be blamed for the waywardness of their children especially girls. You need to see what children watch at home on DSTV, startimes and the likes..... And when they grow up and become addicted to making up and uncontrollable for the parents, it becomes a problem. No wonder we have (and still having) multitudes of slay queens and harlots. In my generation, NONESENSE is appreciated and applaused! Unfortunately! modesty, and virtuousness will soon become history.

I think young women should be taught how to do makeup, but they shouldn't be allowed to wear it until they're a legal adult or unless it's stage makeup or just playing dress-up.

It's just bad parenting to allow anything else.

Mine is apply white powder until after WAEC exams. She can wear 4 inch shoes from age of 10(to get more comfy with them early).
It saddens me when i see girls of 8 years with makeup. A few occasions a 5 year old with makeup; i had to smh.
Parents(especially mothers) should be careful on makeup of their daughters.

My kids should be their natural self.

There is time for everything under this sun.

I can't make my child a prey for molester's.

Wearing tight bum short and others not for me.

She can experiment with light lipgloss with a light colour or faint glitter. Those tiny metallic lipgloss palettes (pink, purple, clear) with a tiny applicator inside

She can paint her toenails any time.

She can paint her fingernails during the holidays

She can apply traditional pigment dyes like Uri or Laali or Henna on a special occasion.

I don't really believe in "white powder". I think a good moisturiser is better if you're worried about the kids face looking shiny.

When she reaches maybe 14 I can allow her to clean up (not carve oo) her brows if she has very thick ones.

She can sew in a few tracks of weave-on

This is all under the age of 16.

After 16 she can carve and draw on her brows

She can wear foundation, setting powder, lipstick and fix her nails and lashes on special occasions

I think almost any type of wig or weave on is also obtainable after 16 as long as its not too flashy

And this is all with her fathers permission

I care about what they have upstairs (the brain) than artificial things.

By the grace of God poverty stops in my generation.

I will be a great mom like Kris kardeshian.

I want my children to be intellectually sound and rich before age 19.

So in order to achieve that there are lots of sacrifices to be made and I'm in for it.

So first thing comes first.

This is just me
