Most people don't know Ambode built the structure while Sanwo-Olu commissioned it.

That was what the fat head was trying to avoid when he commissioned the uncompleted bus terminal complex at Oshodi.

If you know, you know!

Where did you put Baba Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande, like as if you're a millennial, erhn, hmm? Almost all good things Lagos state are enjoying at state level were orchestrated within a short period of not more than 4 years, by this man, fondly called little Awo

He even started a metroline project to facilitate mass transit, thanks to PMB was scattering the whole thing and it was an earlier one than this one that Tinubu/Fashola/Ambode and Sanwo-Olu are making a right dog's dinner meal of.

IMHO, Fashola is highly overrated jor. In the land of the walking blind, of course Fashola among equals, is King, lol. Abeggy, make we hear beta pesin and word jaare. Mtcheew angry angry angry

He was right, actually, Fashola is still the best and the most accomplished by far. Jakande as good as he was did not even achieve 1/4 of Fashola's achievements.

Sound's like you know little or nothing about Lagos state.

MuttleyLaff:
I quoted sample of others agreeing that Fashola is overrated and that was to show, it's not just only me, to show it isnt an opinion but it is a fact, that Fashola is overrated.

Where Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande stands, Fashola will be dwarfed. That inflated and over bloated Lagos Rail Mass Transit blue line was a vision initiated and conceived in 1983 by Jakande, only for Muhammadu Buhari to waltz in under the barrel of gun in 1985, truncated a democratically elected Jakande government. In the process, just like that, scrapped Jakande's Metroline project and so investments went down the drain, at a loss of over $78 million to Lagos State tax payers.

luvmijeje:
Time for confession..... I wasn't born in 1983 nor 1985. So I can't make an objective rebuttal.

But during my time on earth, Fashola was and still remains the best governor of my lifetime.

List five things that makes Lateef Jakande far better than Fashola and I'll list 10 things Fashola have done to revitalize Lagos State.

MuttleyLaff:
You must be a millennial then
1/ Free education from primary to tertiary level
2/ The present day Lagos State Secretariat at Alausa was built by Jakande's government within four years
3/ Built Lagos State University
4/ Constructed the Victoria Island/Epe Road, that APC have not only over bloated the cost but have with others, spent 19 years trying to upgrade it
5/ Built Lagos State Television & Lagos Radio

Dantedasz:
^^^
Thank you.
It is so sad history is no longer taught in schools.

Lateef Jakande built the foundation of Lagos state that every governor that came after him built on. Even Fashola dare not claim his administration was better than Jakandes regime.

In fact if not for military usurpers who truncated civilian rule in 1983 Lagos would have had a metroline ages ago. What Fashola was building along Badagry express way that has descended into a quagmire and bottomless pit of corruption was taken from Jakandes manual for Lagos State transportation. It was Buhari as a military ruler that cancelled the signed agreement between the Lagos State government of Jakande and his foreign partners thus setting the Lagos State transport plan of Jakande back by decades. An error from which Lagos state has not recovered up to the present day. Just visit the Lagos Badagry express way axis.

The fact that a million people quoted each other with the same opinion doesn't mean they have facts on their side. That baseless opinion is not new on NL.

There's no need to argue or needlessly go back and forth, if you are really convinced that Jakande was better than Fashola, why not just put your money where your mouth is by listing Jakande's achievements while I do the same for Fashola.

We can settle this with facts instead of bare conjectures and personal opinions that doesn't jell with facts on the ground.

Makinde bit more than he can chew and instead of buckling down to highlight and prosecute serious issues that he laments and cry over everyday, he keeps seeking solace, acceptance and recognition from his social media news fans and consumers.

The man did not prepare himself for governing, no road map, no serious vision or sense of direction, just vague proclamations, many of which he wakes up the next day and reverse.

MuttleyLaff:
The Nigerian Compass on Saturday had last week exclusively reported that Jakande, whose record of performance in the state is yet to be matched by succeeding governments 30 years after, was not being paid the jumbo package by the state government[/b].

In an interview with the newspaper, Jakande had also stated unequivocally, that he would not even accept the jumbo pay if offered because, according to him, it is "excessive and obscene"

Under the law, a former Governor and Deputy Governor of the state will receive equal pays with the incumbent holders of the office. The former Governor will be entitled to a house each in Lagos and Abuja, at a location of his choice, and will have six official vehicles and a retinue of domestic aides.

In another interview with this paper on Wednesday this week, Alhaji Jakande restated his belief that the pay package, is wasteful and a drain on the state's purse.

After enquiring if any such law exists anywhere else in the world, he lapsed into Yoruba language, saying: "Ki lawon Omo wonyi fe so aye dabayi?"meaning: "What are these children turning the world into?" Alhaji Jakande queried further: "How can an ex-Governor be on the same salary with the incumbent?"

He had said last week: "I have not benefited from this bill. I am not interested in it. My own attitude is that God has given me what I consider to be a good pension. That pension, to me, is the appreciation of my service to Nigerians, even non-Nigerians.

"My view on the bill is that it a waste of public funds. The appreciations I received daily from people are enough for me as my pension. This I will cherish till I die."

My eyes took a double take and my heart bled reading the above and this your other remark here and I felt like raining curses on each and everyone of those that allowed us end up like this. luvmijeje, please bookmark these following links for later reading at your most convenient time:

2/ https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/legendary-lateef-jakande-modest-life-in-retirement.html

I said he is overrated, I wasnt the only person who've said this about Fashola, I wasnt the first person to say this about him and I am quite sure I wouldnt be the last person to say he is overrated, but it's baffling how you managed to invent a remark and fabricate that I believe Fashola did nothing, when all I mentioned is that he is overrated. I then followed up with list me Fashola legacies that Lagos State are satisfactorily and without reservations enjoying. The keywords were "satisfactorily and without reservations enjoying"

Again, the keywords were "satisfactorily and without reservations enjoying"

Now Ajibel, do you know how many years Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande served as governor of Lagos State for, compared to Tinubu's 8 years and Fashola's another 8 years, a total of 16 years of APC squeezing, exploitation and bondage, not adding Ambode's?
I can present you a list of LKJ's achievements in that short period to contrast the dividend of democracy with that of APC's 16 years

I know, I am sure they are well documented on his personal website, and thats why the 8 years achievements makes him strut upandan the place like a prized peacock
Twenty years of APshit rule in Lagos State, smh compared with 4 years and less than 3 months of Baba LKJ. I usually dont go about re-inventing the wheel, especially when Baba LKJ's record is out there in public domain for all and especially millennials, to see, but I'll oblige you none the less, so in addition to the above quotation, here we go, following below is a list of the still alive 90 years old Baba LKJ's achievements, accomplished within a short time frame of 4 years and less than 3 months (i.e. from 1 October 1979 to 13 December, 1983) Read and weep, my new found friend:

There are more stuff, but I have to hold back and not waste gunpowder, besides the fear of the antispam bot is the beginning of wisdom. It clamps down on lengthy posts and pasting links, lol. Even you will accept, admit and agree that Tinubu and others were relying on the blueprint they met on ground and just followed or built on it. Magicians:
A section of the Nigerian populace are mad, the Internet was flood with this Sanwo pointing everywhere n Igbo n ipob alike where excited that Sanwo as failed, them no gree we hear word for.NL but like the proverbial ram that too few steps back to rejuvenate it trajectory he as been commission new projects weekly, sometime 2 projects in a week.

Suddenly all the bastard on NL that love Lagos more than we Lagosians, those that hate Tinubu with excruciating pain of eternal agony are now questioning where he got the projects. Foolish SM propagandist governor like Makinda Umahi n Ihedioha that they have been hyping are yet to commission a 4 by 4 kiosk O.

While many are quick to castigate Sanwo I just look n kept shut, aside God they have no idea who is behind him cos if they do they might understand it is impossible for him to fail. Till date among equals Fashiola remains arguable the best governor in Nigeria since 1960, what they do not know is Fashola commissioner of works is Sanwo's deputy. A man that his work stood out during the 8 years of Fashola, a man that can't not fail n must not fail by God's infinite mercy. That is a man I can not wait to have him a the governor, not just the deputy.

When he commissioned nothing you vilified him now he commissioned something you are antagonizing him ?! Pls are you not mad ?

Should we now be celebrating governors that abandon uncompleted projects instead of those that completed they ?! When won't you run mag with this your hate filled bigoted type of reason or are from the land where the sun will never rise, potoland to be exact, cos that's the land they hate with no reason ?!

do you know that They hated on Ambode through out his 4 years.

They fell in love with Ambode just because of their hatred for Tinubu
