Gurus, please i need your help.
My phone cannot download file in background, it only work while in foreground. As in whenever i lock (Sleep) the phone while downloading, the file will not move further (download speed would be 0kbs) untill i on the screen again then it continues. Due to that, i have set my phone sleep time to 30 minutes, so i have to tap the screen every time ( before the 30 mins elapses) to prevent the phone from sleeping.
It's really annoying when downloading heavy files.
I have experienced the same issue with other phones supporting Android 9.0

Please is there any solution to this?

My phone don't do that, redmi note 8 I downloaded three movie's at the same time, maybe it could be from your settings or the browser settings check it out

I don't think is a general problem.
Am using Infinix Hot 8.
Although i experienced same thing with my friend's Huawei Y5 prime.

I changed some settings but is still the same.
maybe i haven't hit setting

Put off data saver, and also battery saver before it can download when screen is off

so u have used all Android 9.0 for u to come to this conclusion?

check ur app permission... Permit the browser u are using to work while in screen lock.. Then u are good to go.. Remove battery saver

Unrestrict all background processes

Change battery mode to normal

Check if you're using restriction

Check your browsers background permission
