The Coordinator, State Operation Coordinating Unit, Youth Empowerment and Social Support Operation, Sir, REQUEST FOR CANCELLATION OF THE LIST OF BENEFICIARIES I hereby write to give a vivid account of the CBT/registration at Danialu /Agbo, upper Gaa’Akanbi, Ilorin. The capturing which first took place at Agbo on the 20th December, 2019 was not fair. I noticed the presence of the Local Government officials when the district head (magaji) secretly sent for some people and asked them to converge at Agbo, these were the same set of people that constitute the already prepared list by magaji in my previous petition; some of whom are HND holders (old and seving corps members), retirees etc. On the said date, one Mrs. Mariam was caught with a white sheet of paper comprising the names of those selected by the district head. On sighting the list, I called Mr. Taiye on phone to give an update. During the conversation, he asked me to make a video recording or a photograph of those officials to substantiate my claim. I was able to snap Mrs. Mariam and make video recording when registering Akeem Jimoh, Abdulwasiu Abdulsalam. I left when Akeem Jimoh started wagging his mouth and calling me names (safety first). Sir, when I got home, I decided to forward the photographs to Mr. Taiye on Whatsapp not knowing that I had exhausted my cellular data. Immediately I stepped out of my room to buy a call card, I saw a man (another official) and about 4 women in front of an uncompleted building (under a coconut tree), the name of the official was later given as Mr. Gambari. I attempted to snap Mr. Gambari, it was when I attempted to snap Mr. Gambari that my cellular gadget was snatched. In a struggle to retrieve my cellular gadget from Mr. Gambari, my phone screen got broken and his phone suffered a crack on the screen. Mr. Gambari escaped with my cellular gadget. They (other members of team have joined) went to Danialu police outpost, fortunately or unfortunately they did not meet anybody there. So, when they were planning to go to ‘A’ Division, my brothers and sister were pleading with them to let us settle the matter amicably. During this period, one Mr. Alege attempted to slap my sister, he said my sister wanted to use charm on him (it seems Mr. Alege has an aggressive innate and or a clear manifestation of schizophrenia). They left with the promise that they were going to Pake in a Toyota Carina E with registration number SHA……… when my brother and I got to Pake, we did not see anybody, we had to call Mr. Basambo who asked us to wait. When he eventually came, I narrated my own side of the story and he asked me to tender an apology in writing and an undertaking. In the evening of that same day, he (Basambo) called my younger brother again and told him that I have to repair the damaged phone and he asked me to show up at Pake the following day (Saturday) at 10:00am. Sir, on Saturday, it was quasi 9: 00am I got to Pake, I went to a business center outside the gate to call him that I’m around, and he surfaced few minutes after 10:00am. We discussed at length and he came to conclusion that I should repair the phone, and on the 24th of December, 2019 the phone was repaired at the popular Ilorin Computer village (Challenge) at the cost of #2,000 only. I want to make it crystal clear to whoever reading this, I was agitating towards my circumference when I saw Mr. Gambari in front of my house. Why did he snatch my cellular gadget? Was he at the right place at the right time? Why did he delete some of my photo evidence? Why did Mrs. Mariam hide the list the moment she noticed I was videoing? It is evidently evident that Mr. Gambari and other team members had an ulterior motive, the team leader has been bought because he has a close bond with Mr. Issa Adissa and the incident didn’t happen within the village square. At this juncture, I will like to anchor my vessel. I will be grateful if my letter is favourably considered. Yours faithfully, |
