Avoid in-play like a plague because no matter how disciplined you are, you will always chase your loss. The reason being that most people play on singles during in-play. Therefore, huge stakes on low odds and once you lose, you will end up trying to recover your capital and keep going down the rabbit hole. I repeat, any strategy that does not accommodate loss is not worth it. Think deep and find a strategy that works. I'm doing that this year and if it doesn't work, then to quit will be the only option left.
