I'd like to know the source of your 50% data. I use the bridge virtually everyday and I wouldn't say it's 50%, so I'd like to know the source of your statistic.
Experience they say is the best teacher! My brother, let’s be realistic

They must have started. I hear that the commissioner of transportation and the LCC MD are now at the bridge. I'll probably go back there soon.

ProtectMyMoney:
That is smart move to prevent fraud by LCC and control access to cash by their employees.

Vouchers can be counted before release to roving agents. Once your voucher finishes, you go and remit the money and collect another set.

Customers purchase etag from office,

Cash control from one central unit.
This is where the efficiency of the state government can be seen and felt. But deal with major issues like infrastructure and healthcare, zero sense of urgency and efficiency.

I pray the proceeds from the tolls will be judiciously and religiously utilised for the good of the masses.

So a stranger who is driving through for the first time into Lekki will be denied right of movement and entry?
The stranger will be offered the option of buying a voucher by their agents.

Settlement of collected tolls would be an issue except its handled centrally by a toll payment service provider that would also operate in those other states, that way the eTag is uniform and a central wallet which when funded could be debited from any of the toll points nationwide and funds settled to the state the toll was debited for.

Humphrizy:
Okay.. Nice one, but it's still within Lagos state... Am only trying to extend it to other 35 States including FCT... Like for instance; Anambra state (Onitsha head bridge) If they decide that every motorist that wants to make use of the road should have e-tag(s) Windscreen of cars will be filled up with stickers.

It's a welcome development Thoo... Cos I know some states will not like to dive into it sooner nor later.
Re: Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge Toll Collection Goes Cashless Today by naptu2(op): 1:11pm On Jan 02, 2020
I went back to the bridge a while ago. The queue of cars outside the LCC office is back. Some of the cars are parked at Diamond Bank, while others are parked as far away as Olateju Crescent. I overheard a man at the Diamond Bank car park angrily telling an LCC agent, "I paid through my bank".

There are a few more policemen on the bridge and (I was right) there are LCC agents selling vouchers at the foot of the bridge.

LCC has set up canopies and chairs in its compound and I assume that they are registering people for e-tags and swiftpass cards under the canopies.

There's no traffic jam on the bridge.

Unfortunately any benefit will be marginal at best. The volume of cars is just too much, especially with slow systems. In as much as it requires a barrier to go up and down, it will never be fast enough.

You have got a point there but for them to have a central purse will be a problem cos dz country matter is something else..... Everybody wants to be the king
