I thought I just told you to go and sleep with your sister.

If you don't have a sister, I'm sure you do have a mother. Go and sleep with her because Jesus has fulfilled that law against.

Even most unbelievers wouldn't do such, does that mean they're saved. I have one final question for you, what is the role and importance of the holy spirit?

You keep coming up with more confusion of yours.

You mean the Bible is no longer valid today because it was written during an old culture? You have not only thrown away the old testament but you have also done same to the new Testament.

Na wah for you o
Is that all what you could infer from what I said, I read both the old and new testament. If you believe we are still under some parts of the law, you have thrown away the new testament.
Re: Christian Hip Hop: A Look At The New Trend by alBHAGDADI: 4:42pm On Mar 06, 2019
Harshirama:
So you think Jesus died so we could be free from some parts of the law. Just take your bible and read the whole new testament. Let's end this argument after this please as I'll no longer reply any mentions

You don't seem to know why Jesus died. To you, he died so we will no longer obey God's laws. That's a wrong idea.

Before he came, Mankind was dependent on the law as a means of eternal salvation. It was very difficult for them to keep, so Jesus came to die for mankind. We now attain eternal salvation by believing in his death, burial and resurrection. That is our ticket to heaven, not by doing the law. This doesn't say we can now throw away the law. If that's what it means , then we can now all be homosexuals, rapists, murderers, cross dresser etc. But since all these things have punishment even in the new testament, then we as children of God are to keep obeying such laws because God frowns against those who don't.

Please read your Bible and stop listening to rap music .

I haven't because both books are the word of God.

Of God didn't tell you in the new testament to stop doing somethings he spoke of in the old testament, then it means you are to continue with them. Discarding them when he hasn't said otherwise is the same as throwing away his word.

When did I say Jesus died so we wouldn't obey God's law. One important thing you omitted was the importance of the holy spirit, do you even believe in the holy spirit at all? The holy spirit guides us into all truth. Will the holy spirit inspire you to steal, will he inspire you to fornicate? What I'm saying his we no longer look to the old testament laws. The laws were made because of sin.

They won't do such because Christians preach against it. But before Christianity, such was the order of the day.

The holy Spirit guides you into all things. It reminds you of what God said in the Bible.

John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13 King James Version (KJV)
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

I read both my Bible and I listen to rap music, I've always been a lover of music and Christian rap is good enough. Simple. Just say you don't like rap as a whole and we'll end the argument.

Failure to look into the old testament laws is the reason why you are not obeying the Holy Spirit when he speaks against cross dressing, earrings and long hair by men.

Since you have discarded the old testament, how can you know what the Holy Spirit is even telling you?

Do those who wear earrings and long hair as men even have the holy Spirit?

If yes, why isn't he telling them that it is wrong?

I guess they failed to listen.

I'm glad you at least believe in the holy spirit. What happens is when we're saved, our nature has been changed from the old sinful nature. If we are tempted by sin, the holy spirit helps us to avoid it and if we fall into sin, the holy spirit convicts us. You don't need the law to know what's right from wrong. The holy spirit helps you to do that

You are bringing culture into the Bible bro, in some tribes here in Nigeria, men tie wrappers like women and does that mean they've disobeyed God's law of not wearing what belongs to a woman. For the rappers using earrings and all, are you the holy spirit to judge them?

Don't you get it?

Yes we are saved by Grace, but we work out that salvation by showing it to the world. How does wearing your hair like a woman and also putting on earrings differentiate you from those who rent saved like Future, Lil Wayne, J Cole etc?

Will allow someone who has weed in his mouth preach to you? You sure sound like the type to allow such.

The verse you quoted doesn't say we shouldn't obey the law. It only says we are not saved by it but by the grace of Jesus. This doesn't mean we should go about disobeying the laws cos we will get punished by God.

Hmm have you ever spotted any of them especially Pastor Trip Lee or KB ?

When I want to listen to rap music, I listen DMX and 2pac. I don't go about fooling myself by listening to gospel rap. Doing such is tantamount to smoking weed after wrapping it with a page from the Bible. Such can be called gospel weed grin

Wearing of earrings is a normal cultural thing done over there, same with long hair. So you want to tell me those guys are going to hell because of hairstyle? Most of them are better Christians than you and I

You want to compare 2pac's lyrics and lifestyle with trip Lee or Andy mineo? You are not in anyway knowledgeable about Christian hip hop, I'm not a newbie and I sure know what I'm talking about. I've been following them for years which you haven't

Christianity puts a stop to awkward cultures. Our culture in Africa has to do with a lot of things contrary to the Bible. We have abandoned them because of fear of God.
