Even in developed Countries when the Police deal wit complicated cases, in order nt charge an innocent person wrongly they use lie detector.

In advance countries, no DA makes his case against someone using polygraph alone. That case will get thrown out fast. This is a case of bribery...the EFCC should have evidence of a money trail, calls/communications between the two parties indicating the conspiracy to commit bribery etc..with all that, a polygraph will just be the cherry on the top to tilt the judge in their favour.

In Nigeria, someone can just call police on phone, and you will be arrested, beaten, publicly humiliated, remanded in prison even before the police tries to investigate the claims against you.

In 2020, we should start holding agencies like this to a higher standard of competence. They have been receiving large allocations for years and should justify such. If they can do this to a former senator just because he fell out with the powers that be, just know you are not safe as you walk the streets.

EFCC is only trying to humiliate senator Sani. Here is a case between two individuals and in law the onus of proof is on the accuser ( in this case the dealer). All the EFCC needs to do here is to ask the dealer to provide the proof of the payment so they can proceed to the court, no need for a lie detector. But our dear EFCC is busy helping the accuser to look for evidence.
