The General Atomics MQ-9 Reaper (sometimes called Predator B) is an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capable of remotely controlled or autonomous flight operations developed by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) primarily for the United States Air Force (USAF).

The MQ-9 and other UAVs are referred to as Remotely Piloted Vehicles/Aircraft (RPV/RPA) by the USAF to indicate their human ground controllers.

The MQ-9 is the first hunter-killer UAV designed for long-endurance, high-altitude surveillance.

The MQ-9 is a larger, heavier, and more capable aircraft than the earlier General Atomics MQ-1 Predator.

It can be controlled by the same ground systems used to control MQ-1s.

The Reaper has a 950-shaft-horsepower (712 kW) turboprop.

The greater power allows the Reaper to carry 15 times more ordnance payload and cruise at about three times the speed of the MQ-1.

The aircraft is monitored and controlled by aircrew in the Ground Control Station (GCS), including weapons employment.

With a range of 1,150 miles and the ability to fly at altitudes of 50,000 feet, the MQ-9 Reaper system is an “armed, multi-mission, medium-altitude, long-endurance” remotely piloted aircraft designed primarily for offensive strikes, according to the US Air Force.

“Given its significant loiter time, wide-range sensors, multi-mode communications suite, and precision weapons it provides a unique capability to perform strike, coordination and reconnaissance against high-value, fleeting, and time-sensitive targets,” a fact sheet reads.

The 4,900pound (2,200kg) drone can also conduct surveillance, assist in search and rescue missions and allow US forces to “conduct irregular warfare operations,” according to the Air Force, which proposed the system in hopes of ramping up military operations overseas.

The Reaper, which became operational in 2007, has a wingspan of 66 feet and a cruising speed of roughly 230 mph.

As of September 2015, the Air Force had 93 MQ-9 Reaper drones in its arsenal.

The aircraft is larger and more robust than its predecessor, the MQ-1 Predator, and is capable of annihilating targets with AGM-114 Hellfire missiles or other munitions.

How can you keep on spending hundreds of billions of dollars in defense military hardwares every year and not look for opportunities to test those hardwares? US is world's number one threat to world peace, opposite of what they'll want you to believe.
