All those ammo u see bh guys using come from Libya. Instability is how some make their billions. America distabilize Libya ,which has one of the best military equipments back then. Those equipment found their ways to naija due to porous boarders, and help create insurgency. You see why naija needs not to mind their business now. Remember Nigeria is not in good terms with turkey as at now. So not a good news for Nigeria now.
As chadian troops withdraw, there are tendencies that BH will intensify their assults now to generate more money there by get more ammo to still cause havoc. Borders will likely more porous and there by encourage inflow of ammos. That's why people are saying indirectly America created bh by distabilizin Libya and some heavy lords are making lots of money from it.
Look deeply, everything is all about economic interests.
U are kinda right but we know our army aren't proactive as they claim.

Nigerians should begin to learn to mind their business oo. What concern you with libya now, ordinary Boko Haram you have not finished defeating.
because Libya is a stone throw away from northern Nigeria. During the Libyan war many weapons made its way to Nigeria and eventually Bokoharam. And also fighters from the Bokoharam ranks mainly operate in the sahel and sahara region around Libya, Niger, Mali and Chad

You need to upgrade your level of international events, most weapons used by BH, ISWAP and Alqaida comes from Libya and we have suffered a lot since Gaddafi murder by NATO with several citizens resident in Libya drowning as they tried to escape to Europe from NATO backed terrorists

llet Nigeria protect its borders seriously and see how they will cut off supply from Libya. planning on going to Libya is out of it, not economical and wise.

I agree with all your points, except that it should be known that there are lots of Nigerian youths yearning to join the army. The problem is that sometimes certain standards are compromised due to cronyism. However, the recruitment system, though still man-know-man, has regards for physical and health standards of the recruits. If not, it will be suicide to the Nigerian Armed Forces, as the battles will not be fought with cronies but guys with sheer gut and courage.
Meanwhile, our troops deserve accolades
They are rare citizens!

Gandollar:
This is exactly the problem.

I hope the army spokesman is not just mouthing off because truth be told, the terrorism fight has weakened our army financially, physically and morally. Only few people want to enlist in the army today unlike yesteryears.

Before these terrorists flee Libya, they would have been recruited, assigned, dispersed or bought over by allied gangs in other countries which Nigeria is one.

This is what happens when one itches for war because they think war is about having the BEST weapons by far!

If you think that WorldWar2 was devastating, imagine what Afghanis faced when the capital Kabul was bombed endlessly by the allied forces led by the US. More bombs than were ever dropped in Berlin or any other places were dropped in Kabul.

Just imagine if Abuja or Lagos were bombed endlessly, causing mayhem, sorrows, utter destruction of lives, property and infrastructure. Would you at anytime welcome the aggressors with flowers? I doubt it! That’s just how far some nations feel about the so-called police of the world!

Why can't we stand and fight for the RIGHT of the common Black Man?

Libya has been the cause of the crisis in the region. since the death of of Gaddafi terrorism has been let lose all thanks to the war in Libya. arms and ammunation i n the country are mostly from Libya

To the best of knowledge sub-shahara Africa had faced turbulent times prior to ousting of muammar ghaddafi. It only exercerbated the situation but it wasn't actually the root cause. To even say that is a clear distortion of fact.

And the last time Nigeria is not even among top three in terms of military strength in Africa. Its personnel are I'll equipped and poorly trained compared to its African counterparts.

Its a shame Nigerian authorities are resorting to this pathetic "whataboutsim" tactic instead of facing core issues currently besetting the country.

These people sef, they are still planning on what to do to bridge that gap created by the absence of Chadian troops? Are they trying to say that they were not aware that those troops will be leaving by December? So they could have made plans even before their departure. This country is very useless

coolIt is obvious many Dunce dont understand what the defence minister is saying or the consiquencies of a war in Libya
Libya is directly above us few miles away, any further increase in crisis in libya means the fighers and armed militia would only travel down south as north of their country is mediteranian sea... Nigeria seem to be the terrorist destination because we have money to pay hostage takers
..

Not just the money but also the will by the retired major General who was fraudulently packaged as our saviour.

You guys saying Nigeria should mind her business don't understand. Nigeria isn't necessarily interfering in Libya's affairs, we are only protecting our interest. We don't intend to stop Turkey from 'invading' Libya, we're only getting ready to combat the possible aftermath of such invasion. If Turkey troops arrive Libya today, gunmen will be displaced. Where do you think they will be going to? Your guess is as good as mine. So you see why we need to stay alert and ready to protect our territory!
