There are precedents: Ronald Regan stopped Yasser Arafat from attending a UN meeting when he was president citing the latter's position as a threat to US national security.

There is actually a law from US Congress forbidding foreign diplomats from setting foot on US soil for UN commitments if they are deemed threats to US national security.

The Host Country has no right to restrict access; if it must restrict access, then such application must be submitted to the Secretariat beforehand and decided by the Security Council. The UN will have to get the hell out of the US then! What rules of engagement are we talking about here, that will allow the US to open its door for the same govt that just threatened the potus? The UN is really not adding any value to the US and obsolete, good the organization is broke now and will soon re-evaluate what it stands for. The toothless UN couldn't do anything to Iran for not following through on security council resolution that banned Soleimani from leaving Iran, yet want to do something about the US protecting itself, I don't think so! I don't support their hardline stances in certain issues, but I believe it is absolutely wrong to persecute people because of their religious conviction.

The UN is useless and yet has been able to keep the world relatively peaceful for over 70 years. Without the UN, I am sure the world would have experienced a nuclear armageddon, which you most likely will not survive. Remember the role the UN played in averting a nuclear war between the US and Russia in the 1962 Cuban missile crisis. Remember what led to the formation of the UN after the failure of the league of nations.

Trump and his supporters can be arrogant and destroy the UN because it feels it has amassed deadly weapons. But when a world war starts even the US will suffer.
