Since the last increase 3yrs ago, I boarded Ikotun to Ikeja just once, vehicle passed a longer route just to pick passengers on the road, bus was overcrowded stopping at every bus stop through iyana Ipaja to Agege down to Ikeja.
Na Una Sabi, my danfo is better managed than Una bus, will enter your bus when you have oshodi to Ikorodu.

Is that man's name Fola Tinubu??
Was his father scared to name him Bola??
Probably because the father doesn't want the son to bare same name as his to avoid confusion

Mumus.
Part of the goal of BRT's all over the world is to reduce the number of cars on the roads by encouraging people with cars to dump their cars at home and use the brt.
If they now increase d fares,I expect by at least 25%,many individuals that were hitherto patronizing it would return to their cars.
Commonsense, but of course from Aso Rock to many government houses, parastatals and ministries, commonsense is now a scarce commodity.

This is bullshitting. Lagos State gvt shld be responsible for any expensive incur and even reduce the fare to make life easy for people of Lagos.

You want to create another revenue to support BAT Presidential ambition from your own side right? Nonsense!!!

Eventually, we would beg Buhari to take back the added minimum wage...

Its seems it's the reason for all the hikes in cost of living, eventually leaving us penny wise, pound foolish..
that is the game everywhere. If you expect in crease in salary, expect increase in other areas.

I knew it would come to this, the last review was from N70 to N100 from Mile 12 to Fadeyi axis while anything farther than Fadeyi was increased from N120 to N200.

However, it is important to note that this isa BOT arrangement. The Government buys the buses, renovates the bus stops/his shelters and reconstruct the roads. The private sector, in this case Primero only manages the buses and pays overheads.

In cases like this, there is a specified amount to be remitted by Primero, weekly or monthly as the case maybe to the LASG. Now, if the cost of operations is rising, a sane Government can reduce the profit sharing formula so as not to make the consumer/Lagosians bear the burne of a hike in fare. So, if it was a 40-60 sharing formula, Government can decide to reduce its share to 30-70.

BRT must not be seen to be elitist, the masses depend massively on it. We haven't solved the problem of underutilization of the BRT buses now, they want to create another issue.

Lagos needs more buses, especially the high capacity ones like what the administration of Ambode bought, however, the narrow roads remain a big challenge.

They should also review the price for short distant journey, it should not be the same with those going to the last bus stop.

Awesome news. Increase it by 1000%. Only Igbo people will pay the increased fare. Awesome development from the Sai Baba government.
Instead of you to learn how to struggle from the igbo people you are tagging them for the new price

Anyway they are capable

Your compromise is dragging this Brt to d gutters...Must u favour people n endanger innocent citizens? Fight here n there in Brt bus stops during rush hour..Paying drivers lesser n increasing ur fare is nonsense as ur company previously did..Monkey dey work, Bamboo dey chop

Are they making profit? Surely they have to pay the loan used in buying the buses, no?

If the SG is providing the buses for the operators the money will have to come from somewhere...
