Not quite right. The 65k is for the training school which is just a few months (think 3-6), after which if you’re successful, you will start getting 145k.

Reliably heard gross pay is over 200, how come net pay is 145?

You'll have to pick a topic at random, you won't get to choose. And you'll have 10 mins to prepare and 5 mins to present, your confidence is vital , because due to what I saw today , the panel pay less attention on what you are saying. Im done with mine and I hope to get a good feedback, I wish you luck

They didn't talk to anyone about dressing, maybe they just score your dressing.

All this stress on top 145k? Someone told me 235k though but it's still not enough motivation to attend. Wish you guys luck. You'll need it. Atleast you're now a candidate less.

from a highly reliable source, graduate trainees get 100k during training school and 240k if they are retained. so it’s definitely worth a shot!

Be careful, what we are saying is to avoid being overtly specific. Confidentiality and secrecy is the watchword in the banking sector.

Tell us the questions they asked you nau or the random questions you saw

Some folks went for pre assessment today but don't want to tell others going tomorrow how theirs went today so they can prepare. Just give your colleagues an idea of what they should expect, no one asked you to mention your topic. But you'll come on Nairaland, scanning through recruitment threads for past questions, interview questions, etc. Assessment center will still come and you'll ask questions. But you don't want to give a description of how yours went.

If this was how half of every candidates on every recruitment thread in Nairaland keep information to themselves, no one will know about anything. I get the fact you don't want them to get better and get selected but see ehn, they already decided whether you're coming for the next stage even before you left your venue. So whether you share information or not, if you flunked it you won't be shortlisted. And if you did well, start preparing for the AC.

*Sterling Training school is 4 months and it holds in Lagos only. Pay varies but not less than 40k allowance per month. After the training school, you begin the trainee programme proper and earn 200+.(N/B: people still fail and get screened out of training school). After the programme is ended and you're confirmed a FT staff, salary scales up further to 250+.

i did the maths section first sha.. but what i did was to sort of be able to look at a question and see if its something that can be answered right away and without a calculator in about a min...if i think it can , i will attempt it if it cant i guess and move to the next....the whole idea of moving to another section and then backtracking on a computer screen often seem to be annoying
Do they allow calculator for this test. I am fresher waiting for NYSC mobilization.

For those doing theirs today, prepare for normal interview and spontaneous presentation on any random topics (trends).

Be bold, the interviewers are very friendly.

4 months? An interviewer said 12 weeks for Training School. So I think it should be 12 weeks and not 4 months.

One of the assessors said 7 working days.

They really prepared for today's interview, there was enough time for the interview unlike yesterday. it started 12pm and apart from the topic presentation. Mehn , the interviewer threw some questions at us ooo.

There was a question about recent thing sterling bank did that went viral on IG and Twitter, the answer was one Netflix something shaa. we guys did not even know it.

The other one was, if you are working for sterling bank, what is that thing that will make you proud and tell your mates that you are working for sterling bank. That thing that distinguish sterling bank from other bank. it is well.
