We are not talking about a country, we are talking about cities. Kenyans generally appreciate trees (interestingly, this stems from the fact that most of Kenya is dry). Our cities are lined with lots of trees and greenery unlike West African cities. This is not just boasting but the truth. I have noticed a similar thing with South African cities too. But West African cities are the exact opposite. It is like they hate trees. In a typical rich West African homestead, you are sure of finding it lined with cobblestone rather than grass. In Kenya, it's all grass and trees.

Below are typical high-end homesteads in Maitama in Abuja for instance.

All in all, the greenery in a city does not depend on the climate but how the city is maintained. Dubai is built in a desert yet it's greener than many African cities.
