You are looking at it from the wrong perspective. For example this season about 553 goals has been scored. 38 of those goals were pk, about 16 free kicks, 43 headed goals. If u remember ur probability calculation in secondary school probability=required outcome/total outcome. If u do the small maths and convert the probability to odds u LL see that the odds are actually in d favor of goal via shooting. Am a data analyst and have done a lot of simulation with football data on PYTHON and other programs The truth is the odds the bookmakers give for straight win and ov1.5 are not in ur favor. Especially for football. Those odds are not a true reflection of the probability of that option. In summary we need an element of luck in punting but to say straight win and over 1.5 is a better option is totally false. The surest straight win would give u an average of 1.2 odds thats if u are lucky which takes about 5 wins to break even. In goal type method the least is 1.45 I just need two wins to break even. On d long run the goal type market is more profitable than the regular straight wins.
