*Abdulfatah Ahmed, sold about 110 properties belonging to Kwara state government, including Deputy governor's residence, to himself, friends and cronies ~ Abdulrazaq*
_*• says his deputy governor lives in rented apartment*_
_*• Governor says 75% of federal funds to Kwara goes to paying state salaries*_

Abuja;
Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on Monday alleged that his predecessor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, sold about 110 properties belonging to the state government, including the residence of the Deputy Governor.

Abdulrazaq, speaking to State House Correspondents after a closed-door meeting with the President, said his deputy governor has been compelled to live in a rented apartment which is costing the state a fortune.

The Governor, who said this was part of what he briefed President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, however, declined to comment on the crisis plaguing Kwara State following the demolition of Ile Arogbo, the family property of the Sarakis.

“I have explained all these to Mr President and I have told him that we want to concentrate on agriculture because the money coming from Abuja for our local governments goes to paying 100 per cent of salaries, money coming from Abuja to the state government, 75 per cent of it goes into paying salaries,” he said.

“It’s so painful, we have to develop alternative means of generating revenue and that is why we have to be enterprising in the way we do our things.

“I came to see the President to wish him good tidings for the New Year and also with a shopping list because our state is in dire straits. When we got in, there was a total collapse in the state, starting from education. Our four colleges of education were on strike for a year,” the Governor said.

“The government was owing teachers about N750 million. Thank God we have been able to clear that. UBEC had blacklisted Kwara State since 2013. So it shows you that there had not been any investment in the education sector.

“But we have been able to clear the liabilities. We paid UBEC N450 million which was misappropriated by the previous administration. We are good to go with UBEC.

“We need federal intervention, we need federal help. UNICEF has left Kwara, we are lagging behind in everything. We have to pay close to a billion in counterpart funding, which the previous administration had not paid – funding for polio, Roll Back Malaria.

“When we got in, there was no running water at all in any city in Kwara State. [But] Today, Ilorin, the state capital, within two months we have [had] water running in the taps and some of the major towns too. It’s an ongoing process, but the basic thing like water is something that is very important and dear to our programmes.

“Our civil service we have been clearing the backlog of debts; since 2013 they have been paying half salaries [at] 60 per cent. We have been able to clear all that and also try to show that there should be no malice; government is a continuity.

“We have not removed anybody from work; the Head of Service we inherited is still there, the Permanent Secretary, Finance, is still there; even the cooks in Government House are still there. We have not changed anything.

“What we met was that they have sold virtually about 110 government properties, including the Deputy Governor’s residence; our Deputy Governor is staying in rented accommodation, they just shared everything,” the Governor said, referring to the previous state administration.

You should recover them all. That's why we voted for you. Remember that your opponents did not challenge your victory because it was overwhelming. Even your opponents' fathers, mothers, wives, children and neighbors voted for you because we were all tired of the generational looters.

Ustec:

“What we met was that they have sold virtually about 110 government properties, including the Deputy Governor’s residence; our Deputy Governor is staying in rented accommodation, they just shared everything,” the Governor said, referring to the previous state administration.

Imagine our deputy governor living in a rented apartment because the house used by the last deputy governor has been sold by the last evil administration. That was how Obasanjo and Atikuchukwu sold all companies established by our founding fathers.

Ustec:

“The government was owing teachers about N750 million. Thank God we have been able to clear that. UBEC had blacklisted Kwara State since 2013. So it shows you that there had not been any investment in the education sector.

“Our civil service we have been clearing the backlog of debts; since 2013 they have been paying half salaries [at] 60 per cent. We have been able to clear all that and also try to show that there should be no malice; government is a continuity.

Can you imagine these heartless generational looters? Owing civil servants and teachers for years, yet the thieves are selling all government properties to themselves and their families. I know this is true because I got to my Ilorin regularly.

Ustec:

“We have not removed anybody from work; the Head of Service we inherited is still there, the Permanent Secretary, Finance, is still there; even the cooks in Government House are still there. We have not changed anything.

Characteristics of a people's governor and not a looting governor.

If you are not a Kwara indegene, you can ignore this thread. If you post anything against the Messiah that God sent to rescue our sinking state, then Ogun, Sango, Obatala and Esu Odara will combine together to fire you.

This is pure wickedness spiced with stupidity how can you just go about allocating public sector properties to yourself and cronies is way to bad.

If he move to recover those things now some nymphs who know nothing about Kwara will go on rampage on social media, ejaculating like a man on quickie.

He is not lying, I have uncles, aunties, cousins and nephews who currenly work in the Kwara State civil service and older uncles and auties who have retired from Kwara state civil service. So, I ca tell you with all confidence that the Saraki family has been looting the state and starving the people since the 1960s.

Alfas and Islamic preachers in Ilorin are very fierce and fearles and can bullshit anyone, but the Saraki family bought all the Alfas with peanuts. However, since the Saraki's political house was demolished, did you hear any of the Isalmic preachers speak against the current governor's action or speak in support of the Saraki family? NO. Children of the Alfas and Islamic preachers have made their parents realise that they have been in slavery under the Saraki family for decades and it is time for freedom.

So what is he waiting for then? What is wrong that he can't evict them? A good government won't hesitate to take the properties back.

Abdulraman has not been able to perform because he had to offset many depth owed by the last administration before he could open a new page for Kwara. He had no beef with the former governor (Abdulfatai) because we all know that the predecessor worked as a puppet and under Bukola Saraki orders. But at this point, he has to voice out so that kwarans can understand why his government is slow. The nigga is paying huge debts he did not owe, sad. And it will be interesting to note that those lapses were the funds Bukola cuts from the Kwara State Government purse while Abdulfatai was left to scuttle with the remaining balance to pay salaries after all the developmental funds has been cornered by his godfather

He has started doing that. But he is going about it legally and morally. Remeber that hsi father Abdulganiyu Folorunsho Abdulrasaq is the first lawyer in Northern Nigeria and subsequently the first SAN (Senior Advocate of Nigeria) from Northern Nigeria, so everything this governor do must be legal. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abdulganiyu_Abdulrasaq

So, the governor set up a Commiittee to review the sales of governments properties from 1999 to date, the Commiittee did its work and submitted its report. That is what the government is acting on in stages. We the good and bad people of Kwaa State are solidly behind the governor because even the bad people are tired of suffering and worshipping one family for decades.

Please bring your facts. We stoned him at the praying ground three years ago. The stooge governor Abdulfatah was informed prior not to come to the praying ground, so the stooge governor went to the praying ground at his home town. But Saraki came to the praying ground at Ilorin and we stoned him, we wanted to brake his head with stones but his security details saved him.

I don't know much about Kwara politics
But from what my friends that lives in Ilorin and the fro offa are saying that the demolition of Bukola Saraki structure is a good thing for Kwara. I willingly concur.

Next should be Tinubu in Lagos. His greed is slowing our development

I don't know why some people from another side are always bitter with the changes taking place in kwara, saraki and his cronies has ridiculed kwara and turned kwara to a beggers state, with this revelation, those guys from that region will be seriously pained, they will start pouring their angers forgetting how much they need to rescue their region from the shackles of corrupt leaders..
